As reported before, Bravo is working on a new cycle of its its popular docu-series and this time it's set in the nation's capital --- The Real Housewives of D.C., which is the latest addition to the franchise which already includes reality shows in New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and Orange County.
"We're tapping personalities who are among Washington D.C.'s influential players, cultural connoisseurs, fashion sophisticates and philanthropic leaders -- the people who rub elbows with the most prominent people in the country and easily move in the city's diverse political and social circles," Frances Berwick, executive vice president and general manager of Bravo Media, said in a statement back in May.
Though the network hasn't released an official list of participants, the names of the cast members of Bravo's new franchise are starting to trickle out one by one as the taping of the show is already underway.
And according to Carol Joynt of the New York Social Diary, the cast includes the following:
Mai Abdo - mother of two and wife of Jim Abdo of Abdo Development
Mary Schmidt Amons - mother of five, founder of the "District Sample Sale"
Lynda Erkiletian - president of one of D.C.'s most prominent modeling agencies, and the wife of Christopher Reiter, owner of schmancy furniture/clothing boutique Muleh
Michaela Salahi - former model and wife of Tareq Salahi, who is the president of America's Polo Cup and owner of Oasis Winery
Lisa Wernick Spies - wife of Republican fundraiser Charlie Spies
"My list may not be 100 percent accurate, but as often as I've heard these names, it's gotta be close... These women aren't just run-of-the-mill soon-to-be quasi-celebs, they're wives of the D.C. elite. So to speak," Joynt wrote.
Aside from the aforementioned names, Republican lobbyist Edwina Rodgers is also in talks of being in the final lineup.
