We already know that former Dancing with the Stars champion Brooke Burke is one of the three people being considered to take over co-hosting duties from Samantha Harris this season on the show. She confirmed the news via Twitter.
"By the way, the news about me hosting Dancing with the Stars is true. I am screen testing next week for the job, fingers crossed! It would be amazing to be back!"
Burke, 38, won the seventh season of DWTS with pro partner Derek Hough, while Melissa Rycroft, who remains in the running, finished third in the show's eighth season after an infamous jilting on fellow ABC reality staple The Bachelor.
MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo, meanwhile, who rounds up the three contenders for the co-hosting job, hosted another ABC reality show, True Beauty, last year. His boyfriend Drew Lachey also won DWTS' sophomore season.
"They're only testing those three on camera for now," a source revealed to E! News last week. "The testing will happen some time next week."
E! Online previously reported that almost DWTS contestant and former Access Hollywood anchor Nancy O'Dell was also being considered for the job. The name of E! News correspondent Ashlan Gorse also came up, but was largely dismissed as rumor.
Harris announced that she was leaving the show in late January to focus on her other jobs at The Insider and Entertainment Tonight Weekend. Her replacement, including the new cast for the show's tenth season, will be revealed on March 1.
