A month before a Samantha Harris-less Dancing with the Stars kicks off in March 22, the ABC show is reportedly down to three contenders to take over co-hosting duties from Harris, and contrary to previous reports, Nancy O'Dell isn't one of them.
According to reports, Harris will be replaced by either Vanessa Minnillo and former contestants Melissa Rycroft and Brooke Burke.
Both Rycroft and Minnillo have Entertainment Tonight hosting credentials on their CVs while Burke is best known for Wild On. In addition, Rycroft was a last-minute addition to the cast of DWTS after an epic and controversial stint on The Bachelor. Burke is a former DWTS champion.
Rycroft, Burke and Minnillo have all auditioned for the role, reports E! News.
"They're only testing those three on camera for now," a source revealed. "The testing will happen some time next week."
If for whatever reason the Dancing with the Stars people are unable to pick among the three, producers is set to "rotate past contestants" as backstage interviewers, much like what American Idol did pre-Ellen Degeneres with its judges for the auditions.
Harris announced her departure from the show after hosting alongside Tom Bergeron for the past eight seasons.
