ABC Renews Scrubs, Castle, Better Off Ted - Featured

We reported earlier in the week that ABC was leaning towards bringing back Scrubs for a 9th season.

While judging by everyone's comments, the majority of you were also ready to say goodbye to the show, ABC seems to disagree.

Yesterday, they greenlit the show for a 9th season. As reported earlier, Braff will return for 6 episodes, though Sarah Chalke has not yet secured a similar deal. John C. McGinley, Donald Faison and Neil Flynn will return as regulars, assuming the various pilots to which they are attached do not get picked up.

The network has also renewed midseason shows Castle and surprisingly, the low-rated Better Off Ted.

Which series are you most happy will be returning?

happy with the renewal of scrubs, wasnt ready for it to end just yet. will be interesting to see what happens with it, also really happy with better off ted getting a chance to continue, so pretty happy with how things went.

I love Scrubs more than any other comedy out there, but I thought the S8 finale was a perfect ending for the series. I hope this works out, as I would much rather see any show end on a high note.

I'm glad scrubs is coming back imaging the possibilities with the long distance relationship problems between black bear and JD. IT will be great I'm sure. Better off Ted despite its low ratings is really funny so I'm happy about that, and I'm kinda hooked on Castle. At first I was like its okay I still watch it and then it grew on me and now I love it.

I'm a bit concerned about the scrubs comeback. they'll have to apply some major changes and I'm afraid it will no longer be our good old scrubs. Like JDs internal monologue...who's gonna do that when zach braff is only in 6 of aprox. 20 episodes. But who knows...maybe some change is good for the show.
Better of Ted? Love it! Nice characters, really funny moments and the fake veridion dynamics tv spots are hilarious.
Life. Better.

Scrubs should have ended a long time ago. I think ABC is abusing the fan base, they know that lots of people will watch Scrubs regardless of what they do to it. They are trying to get as much mileage (money) out of the show as possible, shame on them.

oh come on.don´t exagerate madmanmoe 64.i think scrubs never lost it´s spice.who cares about the story.the most important thing is that it is funny.it has never been a show that had to be watched on a regular basis.even if you didn´t watch a few episode you could always follow it´s plot.i also disagree that the ending was perfect.it was an horrible ending, in my opinion.the episode was too boring for a last one.although i agree that it is kind of dangerous to produce a show without it´s main character.i really don´t know if that´s gonna work.the good think is that he will be back at least for 6 episodes.so maybe that doesn´t mean that it´ll ruin the whole show.

Just checked the entire season of Better of Ted and I'm glad they're bringing it back, although it isn't the funniest show airing it has it's charm and I love the chemistry between characters.I'm rather disappointed about Scrubs though, as said before they did a Final episode with all the goodbyes and all and are now renewing it... I'm not saying I won't check out the next season, but since the expectations are high I'm afraid it wont live up to it and will sort of taint the shows name because the network fatcats want to milk this cow dry.

I have always loved Scrubs but I have to admit it has started to go down hill this past season. I really don't want to see ABC run it into the ground.
I love Castle and I'm happy to hear the show will continue. Better Off Ted is a funny show but not something I really would have missed had it been canceled.

I'm thrilled to see Castle returning, I would have been pretty upset had it been canceled. I'm not a fan of better off ted however.
