The kiss didn't happen, so declared Cristina (Sandra Oh) on the last episode of Grey's Anatomy. She was, of course, referring to the inebriated lip-lock on the sidelines of Callie's (Sara Ramirez) surprise party for girlfriend Arizona (Jessica Capshaw). Will Jackson (Jesse Williams) heed the request and stop pursuing Cristina? After all, he had finally saw the light and realized that the girl has a boyfriend.
"It's not over," says Williams. Oops.
"I don't know where it's going to lead," he tells E! Online. "As it stands, it's going to be unresolved. It's not over. And I think that Jackson is not as in the loop as the audience is in terms of Cristina being with Owen. He doesn't know what he's walking into. He might be a little more ambitious that he should be."
The little kiss between the two sort of sprang from two things - Jackson's admiration of Cristina when the latter defied orders from Owen (Kevin McKidd) and pushed on with a tricky procedure in the OR, and the resulting falling out (although very brief) between the two. However, Jackson might be ill-advised on how to proceed. He clearly has no idea who Cristina is, but he does see commonalities between them.
"There's competition between Cristina and Jackson, but there's an attraction that's both physical and out of respect for her style, her swagger, her adventurousness and her kind of no-apologies approach."
I honestly don't see anything down the road for these two on Grey's Anatomy. What do you think?
