"The Mutants Are Revolting" was the 100th episode of Futurama. Reaching that landmark only took two networks, four straight-to-DVD movies and 11 years. Not exactly the standard route towards such an achievement. Perhaps that's why "The Mutants are Revolting" didn't have much of a landmark feel to it, but instead simply executed another solid episode of Futurama.
Fittingly for the 100th episode, the Planet Express crew received orders for their 100th delivery. I loved that this episode started with Professor Farnsworth announcing "Good news, everyone!" over an external public address system. Indeed, it was a season of good news for fans celebrating the return of the series and the fact that Futurama had been given this second chance to reach 100 episodes. For a season short on deliveries, this episode had quite an entertaining one. Not only was this a delicate souffle, it was also topped with nitroglycerin. I thought the animation was put to great use, as Bender remained gyroscopically stable as they flew through the asteroid field. Add to that Bender's great jump over the rickety bridge and you're left with a memorable package drop.
