It's been a lonely few weeks without our favorite Upper East Siders gracing our TV screens, so I am relieved not only that they were back with last night's "In the Realm of the Basses", but that they were back in full form.
Some things I am thankful for:
-Though we all knew it was coming, Serena and her fugly emo boyfriend Aaron (sorry, but you know I'm right) broke up and it was oh so sweet...and all the better that he didn't even appear.
-Jenny finally remembered how to act like a redeeming human being. She even resisted the temptation of reclaiming Queen Bee status.
-Ed Westwick knows how to act high and depressed so well that I fear he has some real-life experience. Or he's just that good of an actor. Either way, he was that good in this episode.
-More screen time for Nellie (and who would have guessed that Nellie has some game of her own)!
However, I think what is most in need of discussion (and I'm not talking about the Lily/Rufus love-child plotline as frankly, the "surprise child" story line is somewhat unimaginative, especially since we just saw it a month and a half ago on another CW show - 90210) is the episode's cryptic ending and subsequent previews for next week.
What exactly happened between Blair and Chuck's uncle, Jack Bass? What can they never tell Chuck about?
