Life Without Michael, That's Their Reality Now - NY Times Review


Seated alongside the other surviving members of the original lineup of the Jackson 5, Marlon Jackson was explaining why he and his brothers felt compelled to participate in a reality show. In measured tones he discussed how the television series could provide a platform for the family to rebut what it feels are inaccurate reports about it that have appeared in the news media.


"We wanted to show the world how human we are," Marlon Jackson said, "since you guys write all these things about us that's not true."


"Exactly," Jermaine Jackson said for emphasis. Then, in a voice part pleading and part puppy dog, he asked: "this for the newspaper? Are we getting a good cover story?" Peals of laughter rang out from his brothers.

i am sorry but the only thing i was imagining when reading this article was one of those old cashier registers going off.... REALLY is this what tv is really coming to?
