Though last week the buzz was that Amy Poehler's Untitled Not-Office-Spinoff would be titled Public Service, NBC pulled a last minute switcharoo and went instead with Parks & Recreation. A promo for the show aired during last night's Super Bowl (watch here), so I'm guessing that they are going to stick with this one.
According to NBC's entertainment co-chair, the network decided that they didn't want to appear to be deriding public service.
Frankly, I am not wild about either title, but the new one is slightly better (I think). How about you?
Parks & Recreation will premiere Thursday, April 9th.
