There's more than a few I haven't heard of here, thank you so much!!! Love TWD. Touch was one of my favorites, Alcatraz too and River is exceptional, Stellan Skarsgaard, I loved every moment of that show! Thankfully, it'll be back after hiatus! :)

I miss Alcatraz and Touch so much, they were gold! River was something else entirely, loved!! River will be back? I believe it was a standalone series, no?

Alcatraz was a fabulous idea, and very well executed, shouldn't have been cancelled...Touch was also wonderful, I liked the realism of Kiefer Sutherland's character's struggle...shame that all of the above got cancelled.

I thought River had been standalone, too but now, I think it might, one day be brought back.

Stellan Skaarsgard said, “I don’t understand how to continue it, but if [writer] Abi Morgan comes up with a very brilliant idea to continue the series, I would of course be interested.”

We can but hope! :) Nice chatting with you! :)

I totally agree, neither of those should have been cancelled! Ah right, I read rumours that River might come back but I assumed it was all just wishful thinking -- it rounded up really well, I don't know how they'd bring it back with a new plot really. Ah, totally agree with Stellan there - Abi Morgan is fantastic and if she did decide to carry it on I have faith in her that it'd be something that worked out well.

Also I just got done with a standalone French series that was absolutely amazing. I've been trying to find it on sidereel to recommend it but it's not on here unfortunately. I'm not sure it's available to watch anywhere in the US but it just finished airing on BBC4 in the UK so I've been watching it on BBC iPlayer. Anyway, it's called Disparue or the English name 'The Disappearance' and it's sooo good! I don't know if you'll be able to find it anywhere, but thought I'd mention it anyway because it was really gripping and kept you guessing!

I can't fathom how they could bring River back...but...you never know. He's such an interesting character and the last scene...Abi Morgan what a writer, she is the only one who could possibly carry it forward but she's so prolific, perhaps she's moved on? Hopefully, one day she'll think, "I know how to do a second season!" Fingers crossed! :)

Yes! I TIVO'd 'The Disappearance/Disparue!' Yay! We definitely have the same taste in shows. :) I was saving it to binge watch but am running out of space so I guess as soon as I'm done with the last episode of Person of Interest (am just about to watch that tonight!) I'll get ready to enjoy 'Disparue.' Everyone over here is talking about it, my whole family loved it, I just didn't have a chance to sit down and watch it when it was shown. Thanks so much for reminding me about it! :)

Do you know they're changing the law in the UK so that if you want to watch BBC iPlayer you must have a valid TV licence! The absolute cheek of it! Typical BBC, so scared someone might take a penny away from them... :/

Yeah you never know! In a way, I hope she gets a new project because undoubtedly it would be of the same high quality? I'm totally addicted to these dramas right now haha. But Stellan was sooo good in River and after I saw it, it definitely led me to look into his other roles. I did really enjoy River because his character was distant but relatable and paired with the whole Sixth Sense my-partner-is-a-ghost/figment-of-my-imagination vibe, it worked really well!

Omg awesome!! Really?! I had no idea if it was popular or not outside of Europe! I thought I read somewhere that Canada was going to recreate it soon - but I'm not entirely sure. My next series is Les Revenants/The Returned because I never got round to watching it. I watched a few episodes of the US version of The Returned but never got chance to carry it on but I think I'll really love the original, especially as the lead actress, Alix Poisson, from Disparue is in it :) I guess you might have seen it?

Oh yeah I heard that, I think they've been saying that for a while. You used to have to like enter your post/zip code but that hasn't popped up in years. I didn't pay much attention to the whole TV licence thing as it doesn't really affect me as we pay for our licence anyway & so do the majority of people in the UK who own TVs so I don't know if it's a big deal to us. It is pretty cheeky though! To be honest, they're making quite a lot of changes to iPlayer -- I feel like there's a lot more encouragement to actually buy episodes of their shows and now BBC3 has been removed from our TV so you can only watch it on iPlayer. I don't really know how iPlayer works outside of the UK though, I just assumed nobody outside of our country could access it?
