A list where we get together and add in our favorite shows, shows that we just flat out adore. For me it's all things Aaron Sorkin but I'll start it off with his finest work so far, The West Wing. I would love it if you'd join me in adding in your favorite shows and if you can't choose just one then make a list and I'll add them in. :)

Let me add Damages to this list. It's on Netflix, is completely brilliant, and they both share the talented Glenn Close.

Thank you, Television Fanboy, add as many shows as you like! Damages is being added right now! I haven't seen it so will give it a watch once the 'Fall premiere deluge' calms down. Yay!!!! I know you love Anime, something I have never seen so if you have a fave show you think I might like, just let me know. :)

I just checked out your favorite shows it seems you like intelligent, layered, and funny shows. I always recommend Death Note or Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood to people who haven't seen anime. Given your favorite shows I think you might enjoy Durarara!! It's smart, interesting, and has a wide range of characters that demonstrate why anime is so popular.

I believe The Newsroom would be one to add here. It has great appeal for intelligent viewers especially those who enjoy the works of Aaron Sorkin.

@TelevisionFanboy - my apologies, I only just read your comment. I don't know how I missed it. D'oh!

First of all, thank you for the lovely compliment, second, new show recommendations, yippeee!!!!!! I will check out all three and let you know how I get on with them. Thank you so much for such thoughtful (as always) consideration of what I might like. #TvFanboyisthecoolest

@Lisa Schmidt - yes! I was wishing and hoping that someone would pick The Newsroom, I recommend it to everyone as well, as soon as I finish my West Wing binge I am back to watching the Newsroom. I didn't add The Newsroom as I didn't want to fill the list up with only my likes. I'll go and add it now and then think about what else to add...yikes! Thanks so much for taking part. If you think of anything else, just lemme know. :)

@Lisa Schmidt - added The Newsroom for you and my pick (since I was daft enough to double dare myself! lol) is Arrested Development. I know it can be hit and miss but it still makes me laugh more than pretty much any other comedy show. Jason Bateman rools. :) Thanks for playing! Add any more if you think of something.

I love Jason Bateman too. Arrested Development is on my mental list of shows to watch eventually. I love a good discussion of favorite shows so I couldn't help but jump in here.

@Lisa - Television Fanboy is right, Arrested Development is sooo good. The first ten minutes of the Pilot episode had me crying with laughter.

It's not really a spoiler to say that one of the characters is named after a very famous singer. I read an interview about this singer where he said he was watching tv, waiting for Arrested Development to come on one night as he'd heard it was fantastic and then...oops, there's a character with his name, I mean, I can't even imagine his reaction.... :D

Really, it's funny on so many different levels, I think you'll enjoy it. It's also an easy show to watch, no need to try and keep track of plots, I always reach for it when I am stressed and needing to chill out for a little while.

P.S. Beautiful avatar. :)

Thanks @scotwot your avatar is classic. I luv Snoopy & Woodstock as well. I will definitely move Arrested development up on my priority list. My spouse and I need a new comedy to share.

This is a bit off topic @TelevisionFanboy, but my user name was TVGeekGirl on another message board awhile back. I can't remember which one now, but your user name makes me smile for that very reason.

@Lisa Schmidt, really hope you love Arrested Development when you get a moment to watch it! :)

@Television Fanboy, I totally forgot to add your anime shows. D'oh! That's them added, I'll add in 'Life in Pieces' and 'Stranger Things' as my picks. I can't think of a third show atm...halp! :)

@Lisa Schmidt that makes me so happy to hear lol. Us television nerds have to stick together!
@scotwot Thanks! This list is a pretty great starter pack. All you are missing is a reality show.

I'd recommend Red Dwarf (a British scifi comedy) to anyone and everyone. If there's any fans of animated comedy I have a pretty good list of recommendations on my page.

I love a good Syfy @Infowun.

Rhetorical question @TelevisionFanboy & @scotwot: Are there any truly good reality shows? ;> I bet that question would make for an interesting thread of conversation. I may just have to create a list "Reality TV - The Good the Bad and the Ugly. LOL. BTW I love "Life In Pieces" and "Stranger Things" is on my list to watch too.

I would love that list Lisa! As for your question... lol. That thread would probably take up like half of cyberspace. Pretty much every reality show has a negative side, is boring or just plain stupid. The closest I get to loving reality shows is laughing at the unfortunate folks that volunteered to be on them!

@Lisa I have to say, I've never watched a reality tv show, so I just don't know. I've seen enough clips to know I don't want to watch people getting booed just 'cause they're not fabulous looking or can't juggle. That said, If you want to add one to this list just lemme know, I am definitely not a tv snob, I just don't like those kinda shows although I do the same and laugh as TvFanboy does when I see a clip every now and then...bad, bad me! :D

Lisa, your list sounds great, I LOVE the title, that is so original, go for it! As TvFanboy said, when the internet says, "I'm running low on space" we'll know your list is finished! lol : ) You'll get so many comments and recommendations, that would be a great conversation to have. I'm sure you'll also find me something to watch... :)

Thanks, I love Life in Pieces so much and Stranger Things, wow! I really hope you enjoy it, I'm currently re-watching as I can't find anything I want to watch on tv and my husband missed it first time round (thank goodness for DVR's!). We're currently at ep 3.

@Infowun, you are a marvel! Thank you SO much! I totally forgot all about Red Dwarf. Craig Charles was so good in that. That was the highlight of BBC2 for many years. Adding it to the list, now and my choice will be Channel Zero, a horror show that is just creeping my entire household out atm. *scary*

I should really add Blackadder, as it's British as well, I did have to add another show to catch up with everyone so...Blackadder it is, I should have called this list 'A Cunning Plan...' lol "Blackadder, Blackadder,..." Now there was a song for T.J.'s theme tune list. :)

I'll check out your page, tyvm. If you want to add anything else, lemme know. : )
