Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous, RAY DONOVAN does the dirty work for LA's top power players. The one-hour drama series stars Liev Schreiber as the go-to guy who makes the problems of the city's celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. This powerful family drama unfolds when his father, played by Jon Voight, is unexpectedly released from prison, setting off a chain of events that shakes the Donovan family to its core.

this show might have the worst kids in TV history on it. ray's wife makes Tony Soprano or Walter white Ol' ladies look good by comparison and it can be tough to get through due to those issues but I watch it anyways. RD doesn't make a lick of sense but it gets some hot broads to show their cans so it's all good.

Ray Donovan is a bad men (really bad. mafia bad...) but somehow his ways are intriguing and you woot for him - and if you're female you maybe even have a secret crush on him.
Credible Characters. Not too much crime. Gripping storytelling.

Loved the first season, the second not so much. Liev Schreiber does a great job with the character despite the story getting a bit frustrating as the show progresses.
Recommend for watching if you love the old style gangter shows.

Dark, well-acted, tough--Ray Donovan is a show that hooks its watchers and keeps them coming back to see how each member of this chic-thug family will get into or out of another tangle. The key? Human flaws--which even those of us who are not "fixers" have. This exploration of what makes the Donovans' tick is certainly a show worth tuning in for.

Ray is a problem solver. His character reminds me strongly of Harvey Keitel's character in Pulp Fiction: a cleaner.
His calm and stoic nature is often helpful to solve intricated and nabulous situations in his job and his family affairs. He has high moral standards which he forgets conviniently concerning his manhood, but despises his wife if she fails him. an intriguing show and worthwhile to follow....keep it going for a few more...
