Roseanne Struggles With a Speech on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)

Roseanne Barr's story is one that might inspire young girls like the ones she was charged with speaking to on Wednesday's episode of 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wednesdays, 9PM on Lifetime). But according to her boyfriend Johnny Argent, the first draft of that story probably looks pretty ugly. Argent tried to help Roseanne with the speech, but she resisted him much of the way. "I'm giving a speech tonight to girls, and who better to help me write that speech than a 62-year-old cranky curmudgeon such as John Argent," she said. Argent wondered how Roseanne fought her way to the top in show business with such poor writing skills. "Sometimes when I look over Roseanne's early drafts of her writing I think, how could somebody that smart come up with this?" he said. "I'm learning disabled, for sure, replied Roseanne. "But you know, that's why I'm smart." Despite her cursing him out and a technical snafu that threatened a meltdown, their arguments actually seemed kind of sweet, in a curmudgeonly sort of way.

Roseanne Threatens to Ground Her Adult Daughter on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)

This week on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime), star Roseanne Barr went out of her way to live up to the title of her show, impulsively buying a truck in order to distribute vegetables to the homeless, much to her family's disapproval. The idea was nice, in theory, but Barr's daughter, Jenny, was there to be the voice of reason for her headstrong mom. "I'm just gonna drive it around and give people food," Barr explained, to which her daughter reasonably pointed out, "I think that's illegal."

Roseanne Barr Developing New Sitcom

Call it a comeback. It's official: The Roseanne revival is in full swing. The comedian and '90s sitcom star has had quite a busy summer. After a decade out of the spotlight, Barr returned to television last month with Roseanne's Nuts , a Lifetime reality show that follows her as she manages her 40-acre macadamia nut farm in Hawaii. Then, during an appearance on the Tonight Show last week, she announced that she's running for president. And now she might be getting her own sitcom again. Working with longtime boyfriend Johnny Argent at 20th Century Fox Television, Barr is in the process of developing a family comedy called Downwardly Mobile . It's about a tight-knit blue-collar family struggling to make ends meet. Hmm. Sounds familiar. [THR]

Roseanne Barr: I Want to Be On 'Dancing With the Stars'

Roseanne Barr has a wish, a reality TV wish: She wants to compete on 'Dancing With the Stars.' "I really wanna do that show," Barr told XoJane. However, there's something standing in her way. "My hips are bad," Barr said. "I think I need a hip replacement. That's why I can't do that "Dancing with the Stars" s---." Barr is currently the subject of her own Lifetime reality series, 'Roseanne's Nuts.' The series takes place at her Hawaiian macadamia nut farm.

Resident Hippie Greg Cipes Drives Roseanne's Family Crazy on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)

Greg Cipes is an actor, voice actor, and musician, but right now he's living in a tent in Roseanne Barr's yard on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime). While Barr seems to be mostly amused by his antics and out-there personality, the same can't be said for her son, Jake, and domestic partner, Johnny. "Greg represents everything I hate about people," Jake said. The two couldn't even describe him properly, instead stating that you have to see him for yourselves to understand him.

Roseanne Barr Learns How to Surf on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)

Roseanne Barr decided to embrace a bit more of the lifestyle of Hawaii on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime). So she embarked on a new adventure, learning how to surf. "What do you think of that, being old and surfing?" the 58-year old asked some of the guys who were there to help. When they told her "old" was all in her head, she retorted, "No, it's in my body, too. Trust me." She learned a few basic moves and then she was ready to get into the water, but not before taking delight at her friend Greg's swim attire. "Look at your underwear," she laughed.

Roseanne Sings the National Anthem, in Tune, at a Little League Game (VIDEO)

Anyone who was alive in 1990 remembers when Roseanne Barr sang 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at a Major League Baseball game. The rendition was horrible, she was out of tune, and then she wrapped by spitting and grabbing her crotch. So it was with some nervousness that we watched her agree to tackle it again on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime). What happened, though, turned out to be a genuine suprise. Granted, this was for a Little League softball game, so we knew she would be on her best behavior, but we didn't expect her to be on-key.
