This episode explores the vampire myth, which—if manuscripts and archaeological evidence are accurate—emanated from medieval England. The lore was popularized by Bram Stoker's "Dracula," of course, and still has adherents, including Mirca Mitrica, who recalls taking part in a ritual in 2004 Romania to ensure a possible vampire stayed buried. Also interviewed: Bram Stoker's great-grandnephew Dacre Stoker; and archaeologist Dominic Powlesland, who's uncovered deviant Anglo-Saxon burials.

I have watched about three or four of the series and find they are slow paced, but do have some new material that has been discovered or understood only in recent years. I have seen TUT, Chinese Warriors and my favorite, recent info on what have been called the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It is not just talking heads and still pictures, but re-enactments and lots of detailed information on new technology.
