Smash Failed, But a Broadway TV Show Could Succeed

Sunday night marked the ignoble finale of Smash , and truth be told I am a little sad. I can't remember the last show I wanted to love as much as I wanted to love Smash . Perhaps sensing my desperation, the show was 80 percent terrible, and I have had to learn to live with disappointment in this and other areas. Fast National ratings for Sunday, May 26, 2013A prime-time NASCAR race carried FOX to a ratings win on an otherwise very quiet Sunday before Memorial Day. NBC's "Smash," meanwhile, scored very modest numbers for its series finale.FOX drew 6.9 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/8 share in households in primetime, pending updates for the live NASCAR telecast.
