Suburgatory 2.01 Photos: The Cat People of Chatswin

Tessa Altman is back in Chatswin, folks. After spending a summer away from the town that she has begrudgingly called home for the past year, she's now surrounded by perfectly manicured lawns, a seemingly endless fleet of SUVs, and a population running on Redbull. Though she had seemed to be finally embracing her sentence in Suburgatory for what it is, thanks to the help of Lisa, Malik, and Dallas, time in her old stomping ground of New York City might have caused a lot of that attitude to regress. TV ratings: Cowboys-Giants draws big numbers for NBC Wednesday

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012The kickoff to the NFL season didn't score ratings quite as big as it did last year, but Wednesday night's game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants was still a big winner for NBC.Despite the big numbers for the NFL game, "Big Brother" and "So You Think You Can Dance" held up reasonably well for CBS and FOX. NBC averaged 20.6 million viewers and a 12.7 rating/20 share in households in primetime, numbers that will likely go up some when the live telecast is taken into account. CBS (5.1 million, 3.3/5) was the best of the rest, beating FOX's 4.1 million and 2.6/4. ABC came in fourth with 3.6 million viewers and a 2.5/4. The CW trailed with just under a million viewers and a 0.5/1.NBC posted an 8.2 rating among adults 18-49, down from a 9.5 for last year's NFL kickoff but still dominant for... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/tv-ratings-cowboys-giants-draws-big-numbers-for-nbc-wednesday.html

Look at Who Has Been Cast as Mom to Tessa on ‘Suburgatory’

Actress Malin Akerman, most recently seen in the box office film  ‘Rock of Ages’, will be taking on the role of Alex, the estranged mother of  Tessa (Jane Levy) on the hit ABC comedy  Suburgatory . It is being  reported that Alex is a “beautiful, free-spirited singer/songwriter who has never met her daughter”, who will show up in the Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes after she finally gets over her fear and shame, attempting to form a relationship with Tessa. Series creator Emily Kapnek shared that “I’m a huge, nerdy fan [of Malin's] and this was an extensive search for the right actress to play such a pivotal role in our show. It turned out to be well worth the wait. She’s funny, gorgeous and incredibly charismatic, and I know her chemistry with Jeremy Sisto and Jane Levy is going to be off the charts. Malin is a comedy writer’s dream, both beautiful and comedically fearless. I’m over the moon about her agreeing to play Alex”.
