'Suburgatory': Cheryl Hines' Dallas gets a make-under in 'I'm Just Not That Into Me'

Wednesday's (March 12) episode of "Suburgatory" will present Dallas Royce as you've never seen her: without makeup and wearing flats. It's a big departure for Cheryl Hines' character, and a not-insignificant one for Hines herself. "Honestly, it was a milestone for me as an actress," she tells Zap2it. "I don't particularly like going out in public without makeup on, so why would I do it on a TV show with millions of people watching? I don't know. But I do think it helps her realize who she is underneath all the hair and makeup and Spandex."In the episode, "I'm Just Not That Into Me," Dallas and Dalia (Carly Chaikin) hire a matchmaker to help them find new men, but when Dallas isn't able to come up with any specifics about what she wants in a man, the matchmaker tells her she needs to go on a date with herself first. It leads to a very funny scene... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/03/suburgatory-cheryl-hines-dallas-gets-a-make-under-in-im-just-not-that-into-me.html

TV ratings: 'Mixology' opens modestly Wednesday, 'Chicago PD' scores a series high

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014The premiere of ABC's comedy "Mixology" was the ratings equivalent of a well drink Wednesday: It got the job done, but it was by no means great. The show opened well below where "Super Fun Night" did in the fall and also retained less of its "Modern Family" lead-in than the "SFN" premiere. Elsewhere Wednesday, a crossover with "Law & Order: SVU" pushed "Chicago PD" to a series high in adults 18-49. "American Idol" was even with last week for FOX, and the premiere of "Survivor: Cagayan" improved on last spring's debut and was about even with the start of the fall cycle. "Arrow" was also fairly stedy for The CW.FOX led the night with 10.6 million viewers and a 6.6 rating/10 share in households, beating out FOX's 9.7 million and 6.1/10. NBC (6.8 million, 4.4/7) came in third, followed by ABC (5.9 million, 3.9/6). The CW drew... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/02/tv-ratings-mixology-opens-modestly-wednesday-chicago-pd-scores-a-series-high.html
