‘Suburgatory’ Star Jane Levy Says Cast Changes ‘Strengthened Our Show’

When ABC’s critically acclaimed fish-out-of-water comedy, “Suburgatory,” returns for its third season, two major players will be missing from Chatswin. As part of its deal, show producers, Warner Bros. Television, had to let go of series regulars Alan Tudyk, who played Noah Werner, George Altman’s (Jeremy Sisto) best friend; and Rex Lee, who played the Chatswin High School’s guidance counselor, Mr. Wolf, among other cost cuts. But, star Jane Levy, who plays Tessa Altman, said that the changes were actually good for the show.  Read More... http://www.thewrap.com/suburgatory-star-jane-levy-says-cast-changes-strengthened-show/

Suburgatory's Jeremy Sisto on George and Tessa's New Resolve and Being "Hurt" by Dallas

When TV viewers last visited the immaculate streets of Chatswin on Suburgatory , George Altman ( Jeremy Sisto ) was having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad couple of days. After deciding to co-habitate with his girlfriend Dallas ( Cheryl Hines ), George's daughter Tessa ( Jane Levy ) protested and left to move in with her mom. Then, Dallas dumped George, but only after he had purchased a hideous house for Dallas that he didn't even like. Fortunately, when the ABC comedy returns for Season 3 (Wednesday, 8:30/7:30c), George's dog days are almost over. "George is at a real low place," Sisto tells TVGuide.com. "He's living in this horrible house that he bought for his ex-girlfriend with leather wallpaper, he has no furniture, his daughter has run away to live with his ex-wife, and his only companion is a big dog. But the beginning of the season is the end of that cycle...   http://www.tvguide.com/News/Suburgatory-Jeremy-Sisto-1076034.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'Suburgatory' Season 3 cast shakeup: Alan Tudyk, Rex Lee leaving Chatswin

After "Suburgatory" barely avoided the cancellation axe from ABC this season, the comedy will lose two series regulars -- Alan Tudyk and Rex Lee -- in Season 3.Deadline reports that due to budget cuts that came with the renewal, the contracts for both actors were not extended. Tudyk played narcissistic dentist Noah Werner, who was best friends with George Altman (Jeremy Sisto), while Lee played Mr. Wolfe, the guidance counselor at the high school attended by Tessa Altman (Jane Levy)."Suburgatory" has an unusually large ensemble cast for a comedy series, and Deadline hints more actors could be let go or reduced to recurring. ABC renews 'Nashville,' 'Suburgatory,' 'Revenge' and four more, picks up 'Super Fun Night' and 'The Goldbergs'

As is typical for ABC on the Friday evening before the official 2013-2014 schedule is announced, the network has announced renewals for several of its existing series and has picked up two new pilots to series. Fans of such shows as "Nashville," "Suburgatory," "Revenge," "Scandal" and more will be happy to hear their favorites are returning. At the same time, ABC has picked up two new series: "Super Fun Night," starring Rebel Wilson, and the coming-of-age-in-the-'80s show, "The Goldbergs."Most of the renewals are not much of a surprise from ABC. "Castle" and "Once Upon a Time" were assumed ready to return for their sixth and third seasons, respectively. "Grey's Anatomy," coming back for Season 10 in the fall, probably won't die until series creator Shonda Rhimes feels like it. And there's no way ABC would cancel the hot "Scandal" (also from Rhimes) before its third season. The other renewals -- "Nashville," "Revenge" and "Suburgatory" -- are... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/abc-renews-nashville-suburgatory-revenge-and-four-more-picks-up-super-fun-night-and-the-goldbergs.html
