Top Moments: The Office Has a Big Finish and Survivor Grins and Bears It

Our top moments of the week: 13. Most Fly Proposal: When Mindy decides she can't (read: doesn't want to) go to Haiti with her boyfriend Casey on The Mindy Project, she tries to back out by giving him a crazy ultimatum: She will only go if they are engaged. But since this is a sitcom, her plan backfires when Casey gets down on one knee at their bon voyage party and delivers the most ridiculous proposal. "I just had a little rap sesh with the notorious G-o-d. Know what 'G said? That's your girl, dude," he says. Be careful what you wish for. 12. The Best Laid Plans Award: On The Vampire Diaries finale, Stefan is finally ready to move on from Elena and his life in Mystic Falls until he comes in contact with Elena acting as the face of Silus. But as Stefan questions how Silus could still be alive, she explains that he is able to live on through a shadow self. Through a flash in the window, Stefan sees that Silus has morphed into his own shadow self. Before he can react, Stefan is staked and thrown in the river. Cut to black. Looks like Paul Wesley is back to playing a bad boy next season. READ MORE...

How'd he do it? http://www.tvguide.com/News/Survivor-Winner-John-Cochran-Two-Big-Moves1065602.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'Survivor: Caramoan' winner John Cochran: 'My playing days are over'

John Cochran, the nerdy underdog the first time around on "Survivor," played a masterful game when he returned to the show in Caramoan and won the coveted title of Sole Survivor by a unanimous jury vote. He tells Zap2it that it's awesome to win -- and we won't see him back on the show. So, you're the Sole Survivor -- how does it feel?"I mean, it feels so great because I'm a ridiculously huge fan of the show. It's 13 years of history building up to this .... the lineage of the show, with Richard Hatch and Parvati and Todd and Boston Rob. It's humbling."Did you have any idea at the start of this "Survivor" season that you could make it all the way to the end, let alone win?"I came back this season intending to go to the end. I didn't want to play again just to be on TV again. I always kind of... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/survivor-caramoan-winner-john-cochran-my-playing-days-are-over.html

'Survivor: Caramoan's' Dawn Meehan: We had 'the most bitter jury I've ever seen'

Dawn Meehan went from being one of "Survivor's" most likable players to a villain in the eyes of the jury by season's end. She tells Zap2it she was not prepared for the animosity of the jury. Are you glad you went back to "Survivor"? "Oh yeah. I absolutely love the game. I auditioned for Season 2, it's a miracle that I even played [eventually]. I watched it forever and somehow casting dug through old tapes and started a conversation with me. It's remarkable that I'm here. I was cast for Season 21 and cut two weeks before we left, then I made it to Season 23, so basically for the last three summers I've had nothing but 'Survivor' experiences and preparation. I'm very grateful for it. Not that it's not painful, but it's definitely been positive, so I'm grateful." Were you surprised at how much animosity you received from the jury in the wake of Brenda's... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/survivor-caramoans-dawn-meehan-we-had-the-most-bitter-jury-ive-ever-seen.html

"Survivor: Caramoan" ended with a unanimous vote for John Cochran. Sherri Biethman tells Zap2it she was not surprised at all that he received all the votes -- but she was surprised by the jury's animosity towards her.Are you glad you went on "Survivor"? Was it everything you hoped it would be?"Yes, absolutely. I loved being on 'Survivor.' I wouldn't change it for the world. I got to experience something that very few people can ever say they did and i made it to the end. I'm very happy I did it. I'm very happy. "It seemed like several of the jury members were kind of mean to you during the final Tribal Council. Did it feel that way to you?"Kind of? [laughs] ... They were very mean to me at the end. I wasn't surprised at all. I knew going in to the jury that they were going to be harsh, but I didn't think... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/survivor-caramoans-sherri-biethman-was-surprised-the-jury-was-as-mean-as-they-were-towards-her.html
