'LA Complex' canceled after Season 2 in Canada, no decision at The CW yet

Though "The L.A. Complex" debuted to very low ratings on The CW this summer, it was an unexpected critical favorite, particularly in the guilty pleasure department. Now, the Canadian drama has been canceled by Bell Media up north. But what does that mean for its US fans?Sources tell Zap2it that no decision has been made by The CW, which is in discussion with Epitome productions today (Monday Dec. 3). The network aired the series' first two seasons as the only scripted series in its summer programming block. Epitome is attempting to shop the show to other Canadian networks, which could improve its chances for a summer return to The CW -- but sources tell us that renewal is unlikely, and that the actors are expected to be released from their contracts by end of day Monday. The Season 2 finale left several key characters on a cliffhanger. Abby left Los Angeles to live with her new... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/12/la-complex-canceled-after-season-2-in-canada-no-decision-at-the-cw-yet.html

TV ratings: 'Dancing With the Stars' premiere down Monday; 'Revolution' stays strong and NBC wins 18-49

Fast National ratings for Monday, Sept. 24, 2012What a difference a year makes: NBC scored a demographic win on the first official night of the 2012-13 TV season, more than doubling its adults 18-49 rating from opening night a year ago thanks to "The Voice" and "Revolution.""Dancing With the Stars," per usual, helped ABC grab the total-viewer crown, but the premiere of its all-star season was well below both of last year's debuts. CBS' revamped comedy lineup was off some from its typical performance last season, with new show "Partners" in particular getting off to a soft start.RELATED: All of 2012-13's new TV showsABC led the night in viewers with 13.5 million and an 8.8 rating/13 share in households, but that average is down more than 3 million people from last year. NBC (11.05 million, 6.8/10) came in second, beating No. 3 CBS (8.4 million, 5.3/8) by a pretty good margin. FOX was a quiet... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/tv-ratings-dancing-with-the-stars-premiere-down-monday-revolution-stays-strong-and-nbc-wins-18-49.html

'The L.A. Complex' star on the surprising Season 2 finale

While the first six episodes of "The L.A. Complex" dealt with the complicated relationship between closeted rapper Kaldrick King (Andra Fuller) and beatmaker Tariq (Benjamin Charles Watson), Season 2 has focused on Kal's evolution as a gay man and his relationship with lawyer Chris (Jarod Joseph).Zap2it spoke with Joseph ahead of the two-hour Season 2 finale (airing Monday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on The CW), and the actor promises a very surprising turn to the story."Things are going to be addressed that haven't been addressed," Joseph says (how vague!). "It goes in a different direction that might surprise some people."Their relationship is a little surprising, considering that Chris seems to have little patience for Kal's in-the-closet paranoia. "I think that in the lawyer community, being gay probably isn't a cakewalk for him [either]," he says. "He can probably sense overcompensation."As we've seen, Kal has slowly opened up as their relationship progresses, so now that... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/the-la-complex-star-on-the-surprising-season-2-finale.html
