For the second year in a row, CBS has given mass renewals to the bulk of its prime-time lineup. The network, the ratings leader among both viewers and adults 18-49 this season, has renewed 18 series for next season (including previously announced pickups). The shows could fill 16 of the 20 original prime-time hours CBS programs each week. The pickups include some no-brainers -- "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Person of Interest," "2 Broke Girls" -- and a couple of mild surprises: Both "The Good Wife" and "The Mentalist," which Zap2it had pegged as being on the bubble for renewal, will be back.Other newly announced renewals are comedy "Mike & Molly"; dramas "Elementary," "Hawaii Five-0" and "Blue Bloods"; unscripted series "Survivor," "The Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss"; and "60 Minutes" and "48 Hours" from the news division. The network also wants to bring "Two and a Half Men" back for a 10th season but hasn't finalized a deal... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/03/the-good-wife-elementary-and-2-broke-girls-renewed-as-cbs-picks-up-most-of-its-lineup.html

'2 Broke Girls': A 'revolving door' of love interests, 'more ups and downs'

The cast of "2 Broke Girls" and creator Michael Patrick King took part in Paleyfest 2013 Thursday night (March 14), where King teased what's to come the rest of Season 2. As far as love interests for the girls go, King says it's "literally a revolving door.""Who finds the love of their life at 24? They're in and they're out," says King. "Of course there will be more guys, look at them. They're beautiful and so flawed ... the characters! The characters are flawed."He also says that the show isn't teasing the audience with this promise of a cupcake business. It's trying to be realistic in terms of 20-somethings trying to earning their way. "[It's] more ups and downs. What we love on the show is that it does pay attention to money," says King. "They really don't have the rent. It's really fun for us to continually raise the bank account and smash it.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/03/2-broke-girls-a-revolving-door-of-love-interests-more-ups-and-downs.html
