2 Broke Girls Reviews & Ratings

Mondays, 9:30 PM ET on CBS

30 minutes

Set in New York City, the series chronicles the lives of two twentysomething waitresses -- Max, who comes from a poor working-class family, and Caroline, who was born rich but now down on her luck -- working together at a Brooklyn restuarant. The two become fast friends and set their dreams of one day opening their own cupcake shop (in which they need to raise $25,000 in order to make it happen), even though they have to find ways to make ends meet since they can barely afford anything with the pay they receive at work. Working with them at the restaurant is their boss Han Lee, Oleg, a cook, and Earl, the cashier.

Two Broke girls shocks me with how vulgar Max can get, but I'm almost always entertained. The only thing I don't care for any more is the diner, I think a better side job can be found at this point. It's worth a view if you like sitcoms, it's definitely a new twist on an old Roseanne before marriage.

I remember seeing a preview for 2 Broke Girls and thinking it looked like it could be worth a watch. I was definitely right! I love the "Current Total"/"New Total" bit at the end of each episode, I just wish it was actually relevant to any purchases/earnings made in each episode (As the totals just seem to be random?)

Honestly for me Kat Dennings rules the show and is probably the main reason for my faithful watching every week, her constant teasing of Matthew Moy's character Han and her relationship with Garrett Morris's character Earl have me in stiches every week. I just wish that the writers would stop bringing perfect men in to play her love interest (Eric André's character Deke for example) and then writing them out after a few episodes. Let us see Max happy! Let us see a happy ending for her and Ed Quinn's character Randy!

The humour can sometimes get a little crude (especially with Jonathan Kite's rather sex obsessed character Oleg) but overall it's funny. And as crude as Oleg can be, even more so when he is with Sophie - I love the protective side of him that is being portrayed in Season 6, fatherhood has done him good.

Jennifer Coolidge was definitely the right person to play the role of Sophie, Max and Caroline's clueless, busty, Polish neighbour. Just hearing her Polish accent every week makes it worth watching, ha!

2 Broke Girls was my first introduction to Beth Behrs and honestly I sometimes get quite disappointed with her character, Caroline. I feel like after 5 years of being a "broke girl" she needs to stop holding on to her inner rich girl, it's getting old.

Season five has been the only let down season for me so far, I'm so glad they have brought it back in season 6 though. So glad that I stuck it out! :)

I need this Randy thing to be over ASAP. These moves are not Max-like, this isn't the same girl who dumped Deke without hesitation and moved on.

This show began with a lot of promise. As the seasons continued to come Max's Pun every other line became unbearable. The only reason I still watch it is due to the fact I have already invested my time in it.

First season was good but now the show has lost its mojo and is not going anywhere with characters. The story of rags to riches was good but now it's not that interesting. The Character of Caroline is getting boring and max is not that funny anymore. Overall a good catch but not a long run horse

2 Broke Girls was cute in its first season. Now the show is just a big fat mess. Why CBS renewed this show yet again is beyond me...probably for rerun income. It's sad to see Jennifer Coolidge just wasted in this show. Sandra Bernhard was so miscast and brought the show to the depths. However if Jennifer Coolidge wasn't on this mess, the show would have no stars in my opinion. Time to go girls!, you are no longer broke, and you are boring and as the seasons progressed the acting between the girls has gotten worse, usually they find their comic timing and the show gets better. MY GRADE: F cancel it already!

First season started out being amusing. After the second it was mostly something you watched when nothing else was on. Now it is filled with disgusting jokes and not much character development (for Caroline at least).
