News for 30 Rock

'30 Rock's' Tina Fey on series end: 'We're all going to be a mess'

As "30 Rock" heads into its final season, the show's star and EP Tina Fey is certain of one thing, she wants to conclude the Emmy-winning series on the right note."Things do end, and you want them to end when we're running through the finish line and not limping to it and not vomiting or pooping ourselves," she says in an L.A. Times interview. "You have to muster the maturity to leave it. But we're all going to be a mess."Fey also tells the publication that she's grown as an actress during her time on the series. This was proven out by her Emmy and Golden Globe wins for Best Actress in a Comedy series."It validated for me and maybe a little on the outside that it was ok that I was in the show," she says. "I think in that first season there were questions in interviews like 'Why is she in it? She's... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/06/30-rocks-tina-fey-on-series-end-were-all-going-to-be-a-mess.html

'30 Rock' Finale: Which Relationship Doesn't Make It?

Not every relationship survived the penultimate season finale of "30 Rock" (Thu., 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC). Jack and Avery agreed to let Liz officiate the ceremony that would see them renew their wedding vows after Avery's time held captive in Korea. But it turned out they were waiting for someone to stop them. Jack had slept with Avery's mother, while Avery had had a kind of weird tapping romance with a fellow prisoner while away in Korea. Even Kim Jong Il showed up for the ceremony, but in the end none of them stepped up to stop the proceedings. It absolutely disgusted the couple that no one tried to stop them, helping them to realize they needed to stop themselves. So they had Liz divorce them instead. As for Liz, she's clearly grown quite a bit. She was ready to go to prison for Criss, and seems to have completely accepted him for who he is. Could this love be real? It would make sense, as "30 Rock" heads into its final season next year. "30 Rock" has been renewed for a seventh and final 13-episode season, returning to NBC's Thursday night line-up in Fall 2012. TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser. http://feeds.huffingtonpost.com/~r/HP/Entertainment/~3/mtQmFByP6Qw/30-rock-finale-jack-avery-vow-renewal-video_n_1526434.html

In the end, it appears that Jack and Avery may have the best reasons of all.Hazel (Kristen Schaal) and Kenneth (Jack McBrayer): Hazel is on the verge of homelessness. '30 Rock' Season 7 confirmed to be final season: Will Tina Fey stay at NBC?

Though NBC was initially reluctant to confirm that their Season 7 pickup of mainstay sitcom "30 Rock" would be the final season, they did make the official announcement at their Upfront presentation in New York on Monday morning. NBC president Bob Greenblatt revealed that while "30 Rock" had been picked up, it was only for a shortened, 13-episode run -- which would culminate with a one-hour series finale. It comes as little surprise to fans of the show, who have been aware of star Alec Baldwin's publicized discontent with the network. Greenblatt does confirm that Baldwin will return next season. One star who they do hope to see stick around on a more permanent basis is executive producer Tina Fey. "We think the world of Tina Fey, who is truly a comic genius," Greenblatt says, "and we hope she has a home at NBC for years to come."In anticipation of "30 Rock's" exit from the schedule,... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/30-rock-season-7-confirmed-to-be-final-season-will-tina-fey-stay-at-nbc.html

'30 Rock' live show: Amy Poehler and Paul McCartney bring the funny

"30 Rock" kicked off network sweeps in style with its live broadcast on Thursday (April 26). As a result, he forces Jack (Alec Baldwin), Liz (Tina Fey) and crew to reconsider their decision by revisiting great moments in live TV history. In the end, Kenneth gets his wish as "TGS" will stay live (but there might be a couple of pay cuts along the way). The celebs were featured in a variety of different ways. TV ratings: Live '30 Rock' improves but 'Idol' and 'Big Bang Theory' lead Thursday

Fast National ratings for Thursday, April 26, 2012"The Big Bang Theory" and "American Idol" occupied the top ratings spots Thursday night as usual, but while "Idol" was pretty much even with its numbers last week, the first new "BBT" in three weeks was down a little. Elsewhere, a live episode of "30 Rock" helped the show score its best ratings in several weeks, while "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" were both steady in adults 18-49 for ABC. "The Vampire Diaries" was more or less on par with recent original episodes, but "The Secret Circle" lost nearly half its lead-in audience.CBS led the night in viewers, drawing 11.6 million people and a 7.2 rating/12 share in households. FOX (10.5 million, 6.4/10) came in second, while ABC (7.7 million, 5.2/8) finished third. There was a pretty big drop to fourth-place NBC, which averaged 3.1 million viewers and a 2.0/3.
