Lydia Loveless set the Internet abuzz earlier this year with a cover of Ke$ha’s “Blind,” done up with a bit of honky-tonk love. For her trip to Undercover town, the Columbus, Ohio singer-songwriter grabbed something a little more respectable to play: Echo & The Bunnymen’s 1984 stone classic “The Killing Moon.” Lead Bunnyman Ian McCulloch once said of the song, “…when I sing ‘The Killing Moon’ I know there isn’t a band in the world who’s got a song anywhere near that.” He’s not entirely wrong, though he does like to blow his own horn, doesn’t he?
