Tokyo Police Club was the second-to-last band to participate in Undercover’s very first year: Back in 2010, they covered Billy Squier’s “Everybody Wants You” for us. (What a riff, people.) They returned, older and wiser but no less energetic, to tackle the only hit by Wheatus, 2000’s inescapable “Teenage Dirtbag.” Our Canadian pals aren’t the only ones who’ve been attracted to the song in the past couple of years: Teen-pop sensations One Direction have been covering it live as well. Tokyo Police Club’s latest album is this year’s poptastic Forcefield. Wheatus is still at it, too—the band recently released The Valentine LP.
