Malloy and Reed actively search for a serial rapist/murderer who hasn't left behind any solid clues, which causes Malloy to vent about what he perceives to be over reliance on computers at the expense of old-fashioned police logic to solve crime. In the meantime, they deal with a kid who crashes his friend's dirt bike, engage in a futile high speed pursuit of a Porsche whose driver pushes out a drug dealing teenage runaway, and search for an armed suspect of a liquor store whose partner was apprehended by police scouts.
