TV ratings: 'The Good Wife' rises Sunday with NCAA assist, 'Resurrection' dips

Fast National ratings for Sunday, March 30, 2014"The Good Wife" saw its ratings improve Sunday, a week after it suddenly killed one of its main characters. The CBS show drew some of its best numbers of the season, pending updates for live NCAA basketball that pushed the network's primetime schedule back 20 minutes in Eastern and Central time.Not pictured in these ratings: the season finale of "The Walking Dead," which will just about certainly beat everything on the broadcast networks. Opposite that at 9 o'clock, ABC's "Resurrection" and FOX's "Cosmos" both dropped, as did "Believe" on NBC. CBS scored 11.7 million viewers and a 7.3 rating/12 share in households for the night, pending updates. TV ratings: NCAA spillover boosts CBS; other networks down

Fast National ratings for Sunday, March 23, 2014It was a solid night for CBS, though the primetime numbers were boosted by spillover from the NCAA tournament game between North Carolina and Iowa State. It was not a good night for the other networks, as all of ABC's dramas were down by roughly a million viewers and NBC's new dramas "Believe" and "Crisis" each lost 1.5 million viewers over last week. "American Dream Builders" also debuted to a soft 3.6 million, down nearly 3 million viewers from "The Voice" clip show that air in that time period a week ago.The Eye network took the top slot in viewers with 10.3 million and a 6.5 rating/10 share in households, followed by ABC (7.1 million, 4.3/7), NBC (4.3 million, 2.7/4) and FOX (3.7 million, 2.1/3). A preview of "Growing Up Fisher" that started at 10:36 p.m. ET looks as though it will come in more or less where "About a Boy" did on Saturday.Also Sunday, a long rain delay pushed the Daytona 500 into primetime on FOX and gave the network a ratings bump as a result. The network's coverage, including medal events in team figure skating, downhill skiing and snowboarding, is essentially even with the same night of competition in 2010 among adults 18-49 and off just a little bit in viewers.Also Sunday, CBS' special "The Beatles: The Night That Changed America" scored decent ratings, running ahead of the network's usual numbers for the night in viewers and adults 18-49. ABC and FOX stacked their nights with reruns.NBC delivered 25.4 million viewers and a 14.0 rating/21 share in households in primetime, more than doubling the 11.6 million viewers and 7.0/11 for CBS. TV ratings: Grammy Awards on par with 2013, Pro Bowl holds steady

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014The 56th Grammy Awards drew about as big an audience as the 55th Grammys, with early ratings showing the prime-time portion of the show (which ran to 11:45 p.m. ET) in line with last year's numbers.Also Sunday, NBC's Pro Bowl telecast was pretty much even with last year's despite the extra competition from the Grammys.
