TV ratings: Olympics hold steady for NBC Sunday, Beatles special solid for CBS

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014NBC scored another big ratings win with Sunday's Winter Olympics coverage. The network's coverage, including medal events in team figure skating, downhill skiing and snowboarding, is essentially even with the same night of competition in 2010 among adults 18-49 and off just a little bit in viewers.Also Sunday, CBS' special "The Beatles: The Night That Changed America" scored decent ratings, running ahead of the network's usual numbers for the night in viewers and adults 18-49. ABC and FOX stacked their nights with reruns.NBC delivered 25.4 million viewers and a 14.0 rating/21 share in households in primetime, more than doubling the 11.6 million viewers and 7.0/11 for CBS. TV ratings: Grammy Awards on par with 2013, Pro Bowl holds steady

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014The 56th Grammy Awards drew about as big an audience as the 55th Grammys, with early ratings showing the prime-time portion of the show (which ran to 11:45 p.m. ET) in line with last year's numbers.Also Sunday, NBC's Pro Bowl telecast was pretty much even with last year's despite the extra competition from the Grammys. "The Bachelor: Sean and Catherine's Wedding" didn't draw much of an audience for ABC, but it did improve significantly on a "Bachelorette" wedding special from December 2012.CBS drew 25.9 million viewers and a 14.6 rating/22 share in households in primetime, beating the combined total of the other three networks. TV ratings: Golden Globes steady, NFL playoffs carry CBS Sunday

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014The 2014 Golden Globe Awards scored strong ratings for NBC Sunday, delivering an adults 18-49 rating on par with its performance in last year's fast nationals (pending updates for its live telecast). The Globes did not, however, give NBC a win for the night.That honor belongs to CBS, which rode big numbers for an NFL playoff game in the first hour of primetime to the top spot. TV ratings: 'The Simpsons' gets a big boost from NFL Sunday, 'Revenge' returns higher

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014The first round of the NFL playoffs gave FOX a huge bump Sunday, as the game between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers ate up an hour of primetime. After the game, "The Simpsons" delivered its best ratings in a long time, and the rest of the network's animated shows were up as well.Also Sunday, "Revenge" returned to its best 18-49 rating in three months for ABC, and a "Bachelor" preview special did OK.
