In this special edition, the humane law enforcement officers of the ASPCA reveal the cases that have most surprised and shocked them, in a job that is never predictable.
Special Investigator Paul Romano and Special Agent Joe Pentangelo follow up a report of a dog infested with ticks in Brooklyn. They are amazed to find that the address they have been given is a church, and the dog's owner is a Bishop. The dog's infestation is visible even from two storeys above. The officers decide the dog needs to get to the hospital, but he's a big pit-bull terrier, and he's aggressively defending his territory, so Romano is obliged to use a tranquilliser gun.
