TV ratings: NFL dominates Sunday, late-starting 'Good Wife' rises

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013Per usual, NFL games ruled Sunday night's ratings, with both NBC's "Sunday Night Football" broadcast and an afternoon game that ate up an hour of primetime on CBS producing big numbers.The CBS game helped "The Amazing Race" and "The Good Wife" to improved ratings as they started an hour later than usual. ("The Mentalist" aired a repeat out of primetime.) ABC's "Once Upon a Time," "Revenge" and "Betrayal" all rose a little bit. "Family Guy" was even with its last original episode four weeks ago, but the rest of FOX's animated shows were down a little.CBS led the total-viewer race in primetime with 14.35 million along with an 8.9 rating/14 share in households. How Hostages and Betrayal Have Survived Cancellation

  Based on their low ratings, shouldn't ABC's Betrayal and CBS's Hostages been canceled by now? Neither freshman drama has caught on with viewers, and they seem unlikely renewal candidates. TV ratings: World Series tops 'Sunday Night Football' with an NFL assist

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013FOX captured a ratings win Sunday as its coverage of the World Series continued to bring in solid numbers, with an assist this time from a late-afternoon NFL game running into primetime. NBC's "Sunday Night Football" game was down some, but it did beat the World Series game head-to-head among adults 18-49.Also Sunday, "Once Upon a Time" and "Betrayal" improved a little on last week's performance for ABC, and "Revenge" was steady. The game scored the best metered-market ratings of the season for "SNF" and dominated the night.Also Sunday, ABC's "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge" dropped from a week ago, but "Betrayal" improved a little bit. CBS' lineup was delayed by a late-afternoon NFL game running into primetime, and FOX aired a full night of reruns.NBC averaged 21.45 million viewers and a 12.6 rating/20 share in households for the night, pending updates for its live NFL telecast. NBC's "Sunday Night Football" game between Dallas and Washington was up over last week, and FOX's coverage of baseball's American League Championship Series was way up over its comparable coverage last year. It was not a good night, however, for the non-sports programming on CBS. "The Amazing Race," "The Good Wife" and "The Mentalist" all recorded series lows among adults 18-49 for CBS, while "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge" had their lowest-rated fall episodes ever on ABC. "Betrayal" fell below the 1.0 mark in the 18-49 demographic. 'Betrayal': Hannah Ware free falls into a dangerous game of infidelity
