News for Bones

Interview with Emily and Zooey Deschanel of 'Bones'

Other than a passionate Booth and Bones kiss, Bones fans have looked forward to few things more than the possibility of Emily Deschanel's sister and fellow actress Zooey guest starring on the show. We may still be waiting on a Booth and Bones kiss, but the wait is over when it comes to Zooey guest starring. Zooey will be joining big sister Emily this Thursday on Bones' annual Holiday episode, "The Goop on the Girl." I had a chance to chat with both Emily and Zooey during a conference call about working together, their childhood Christmases, and more. The two are definitely sisters, Zooey and Emily spent the majority of the interview taking over each other, laughing at each other, and sounding virtually identical. It was difficult to keep them straight, but an absolute delight to listen to. Behold, the most adorable interview ever. To Read More Click Here .

Thursday Ratings: Fringe Improves, FlashForward Takes a Tumble - Featured

Fringe pulled in its highest ratings since the season premiere, according to early Nielsen estimates. The supernatural Fox procedural pulled in 6.9 million viewers and climbed in the adults 18-to-49-demo. Its lead-in, Bones (9.9 million viewers) was also way up compared to the last several weeks. Conversely, FlashForward 's final episode before a just-announced long hiatus slipped 8 percent in the demo to a new series low and pulled in 7.3 million viewers. ABC rebounded, however, with a two-hour Private Practice , which averaged 9.5 million viewers and helped ABC tie with CBS to win the night. CBS was led by a typically solid performance from Survivor: Samoa (12.8 million viewers), the night's most-watched show. Repeats of CSI and The Mentalist pulled in 9.9 million viewers and 10.7 million viewers, respectively. All of the NBC comedies improved, but The Office (8.1 million viewers) was up 11 percent and was the night's highest-rated show in the demo overall. I'm currently watching this episode (which won't be airing in the US until December 3rd suckers!) and I can tell you that the sneak peek that FOX has released, which is posted below, features the single most disgusting body I have ever had the displeasure of seeing on this show. So enjoy! Bones: Preview Episode 5.9 "The Gamer in the Grease"

It's game on for Booth and Brennan. After two painstaking weeks, Bones returns tonight with a case that takes our favorite dynamic duo to strange new world--- a world that forces them to become freaks and fanatics in order to solve the mystery that is "The Gamer in the Grease." Brennan and Booth are called to investigate the remains of a competitive gamer discovered in a grease truck, and they eventually learn that the victim, Steve Rifton, is the only active player known in the gaming community to have received a perfect score on a famous video game. A little side note: Bones creator Hart Hanson reveals that they had to design their own retro game called Punky Pong, which you can see and play for yourself when the game is posted on FOX's website after the episode airs. Going into the episode, we learn that Steve turned his success into a profitable business with a gaming referee and charged fans to play on the very machine that gave him the perfect score. Now, the Jeffersonian teams must narrow down the many suspects with motive for ending Rifton's reign as gaming king, while looking into sour business deals and bitter competitors. Quite fittingly, this episode also finds Hodgins, Sweets and Jeffersonian intern Colin Fischer (guest star Joel David Moore) as they take turns camping out for the movie premiere of Avatar, which is set in a virtual reality world that co-stars Bones recurring player Moore as an on-ship technician overseeing avatar transference. "The studio wanted us to do some kind of cross-over," producer Stephen Nathan explained to us. "So we designed a whole story that kicks off with Sweets [John Francis Daley] meeting a girl in a movie line." Source Here

Tonight's TV Hot List: Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 - Featured

* Bones (8/7c Fox) Since Zack's departure, the revolving nature of the Jeffersonian's interns don't always merit a second look. But keep an eye out for Joel David Moore when his character, lab assistant Colin Fisher, camps out for movie tickets with Sweets and Hodgins. It just so happens the film they're dying to see, James Cameron's upcoming sci-fi epic Avatar, includes Moore as one of its costars. Speaking of virtual reality, Brennan and Booth investigate the video-arcade scene when it's "game over" for a star player. * FlashForward (8/7c ABC) What if a confession was made and nobody listened? Or if everyone laughed? Those are two possible outcomes tonight, as Lloyd tries to come clean about his and Simon's possible role in the blackout. In other events, Mark and Demetri head to Hong Kong to find the woman who told Demetri the specifics of his death, and Zoey learns what her flash-forward means. * Private Practice (9/8c ABC) Last time, we met Addison's rich father (Stephen Collins) and learned that he's a cad. In the first part of tonight's two-hour episode, he acts like one, and it hits home. And if that's not enough dysfunction for one family, Addison's mom (JoBeth Williams) turns up in the second hour and divulges a family secret that no one wants to know. Meanwhile, Sam and Naomi realize that their little Maya isn't as little as they'd like her to be, and Dell and Heather's warm-and-fuzzies come to an explosive end. * 30 Rock (9:30/8:30c NBC) Look who's talking. It's Liz, and she gets down to biz when production finally gets underway on her brand-new talk show, Dealbreakers. But she'll be taking a talk on the wild side when meddlesome and nettlesome Jack, while tangling with nemesis Devin Banks (Will Arnett), schemes to make her program a runaway hit. In other developments, Rock star Tracy tries to prove his love to his wife (Sherri Shepherd) by participating in the ultimate Hollywood challenge. * It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (10/9c FX ) If it's always sunny in Philadelphia, why does M. Night Shyamalan live in the area? It's a question you might want to ponder tonight, when Dee lands a role in a Shyamalan film on genocide in the former Yugoslavia. Actually, Dee's an extra, but she doesn't realize that until the assistant director starts treating her like dirt. As for Shyamalan himself, the Philadelphia-based horror maven is nowhere to be seen. He's gotta have too much sense to make a cameo on a sitcom. Source Here
