Politics, sc-fi, satirical comedy, family tensions, what more could we ask for! It's so much fun. It's so current that I wonder if it's a docudrama masquerading as fiction!* :D This should be syndicated to every country in the world so their citizens can collectively say, "That's what been going on with our politicians!" May this show never be cancelled.

This is a more plausible explanation for what the heck is going on in politics than anything else I've heard! So funny... well done guys. Give yourselves some well deserved pats on your backs!

They say television is called a medium because it is neither rare nor well done. BrainDead is an exception, standing head and shoulders above others of its kind. Everything from the script, to the music is just perfect. Even if you don't care about politics (who does?) I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a smart comedy.

BrainDead is one of those shows where a slew of bad things happen and you're rooting so hard for the character to figure it out and do something, anything to stop it. The show establishes this all in the first episode. A Meteorite has crash-landed on earth, and with it brought brain-stealing insects with an unknown agenda for mankind. Laurel (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is caught right in the middle of the growing epidemic which seems to be purposely targeting politicians. As her brother, the Senator's new Assistant, she gets a first hand experience of both the trials and tribulations and utter bullshit of the world of politics both before and after their minds have been taken over.

This show is a really fresh TV concept, and sort of feels like a much less corny Mars Attack. Remember that silly movie? It's quite a relief to see that networks can, every now and then, give us something completely different. It's not a cop show, not a lawyer show, not a medical show, not a hunting-the-supernatural show, it's its own thing, and I'm liking it.

Plus, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is so beautiful, you're pretty much glued to the screen whenever she's on it.

Just what I've been missing. Thank you Michelle and Robert King for filling the void created by 'The Good Wife'. Yet another hit on their hands I think. Great cast. Politics and Scifi an unusual mix that happens to work in this instance especially with the satirical comedy that the Kings are best known for. Two thumbs up from me, can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out.

As others said, the cancellation was expected... It seems - perhaps the creators knew too, the finale wraps things up nicely with a small window for a second season. Braindead is a GREAT show! My only gripe with it was that it was too in the middle - some drama, some sci-fi/horror element, a little bit funny, a little bit serious and a little bit quirky. If they took the idea (probably away from CBS) and actually went with it into a genre fully, then it might have gained cult status very quickly and taken off. VERY well made over all, i really loved bingeing on it in the last 3 days.

Ultimately, should have been made in the 80s or 90s (or in the style of), and we'd all be raving about it akin to Stranger Things.

This may just have been my favorite show of 2016. It has everything that I needed this year, a sharp political commentary, using a completely obscene backdrop. The show managed to keep me entertained in a different way than most shows do. It managed to stay in my head between airings, and remained a highlight of my summer.

To be honest, I'm quite satisfied that the show got canceled. I was worried that this show would linger on, until it became hopelessly boring. This way they managed to tell a great story, and finish it too.

interesting balance of conservative and liberal and young and old and ethical and unethical with a definite liberal balance IMO...At times it is played HIGH CAMP...and others dead serious. It could be a real winner.

I absolutely love this show so far. I am currently 7 episodes in. It's quirky and it's funny with great acting. Kudos on the casting. Oh, and the song at the start of the episode...amazing. Definitely one of my favourite shows for the summer.

A big old bucket of entertainment.. fun story - love the documentary comment too. It'd be great if this one got more seasons.
