Breaking Bad Sneak Peek: Is Walt Ready to Be the Boss?

Is Breaking Bad' s Walter White ready to be the boss? We're not talking about the drug cartel — we mean Walt's newly purchased car wash, of course. In Sunday's episode (10/9c, AMC), Walt (Bryan Cranston) visits his former employer to pick up the keys to his new business, a front through which to launder his drug money. But Bogdan (Marius Stan) — who is happier dealing with Walt than his pushy wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) —can't resist pushing Walt's buttons. "So, you are the boss now," he says in the sneak peek video after the jump... http://www.tvguide.com/News/Breaking-Bad-Video-1036504.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'Breaking Bad' preview: The new man in charge

The first part of "Breaking Bad's" fourth season has focused heavily on how out of control things have gotten for Walt (Bryan Cranston) and his meth-cooking enterprise. The man is strained nearly to a breaking point.Which is why we're a little concerned for Bogdan (Marius Stan) after watching the preview clip from Sunday's (Aug. 21) episode, "Cornered." Walt's former boss at the car wash, which the Whites have just bought from him, can't resist one final swipe as he turns the business over. Walt holds his tongue as the clip ends, but we kind of wonder if Bogdan isn't about to have huge regrets over his remark. As "Breaking Bad" approaches the halfway point of Season 4 -- "Cornered" is the sixth episode of 13 -- we'll be very interested to see how long Walt can keep his head about him, and just what, if anything, might make him lose it."Breaking Bad" airs at 10 p.m.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/08/breaking-bad-preview-the-new-man-in-charge.html

'Breaking Bad': Jesse the ... Hero? (VIDEO)

Gus' silent approach to dealing with his drug empire seems to permeate down the ranks on 'Breaking Bad' (Sun., 10PM ET on AMC). No one questions him, no one talks to him if he doesn't want to talk, and apparently his henchmen don't talk either. The tactic does a great job of leaving the viewer just as in the dark as Walter and Jesse most of the time. We feel that same sense of helplessness and frustrated confusion at every turn. Mike drove Jesse around for hours with no explanation. When Walter refused to cook without his partner, Gus sent in a new partner who couldn't even tell Walter that's why he was there. He had to let Walt figure it out. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/08/15/breaking-bad-jesse-the-hero-video/

'Breaking Bad' renewed, but also ending with 16-episode run

"Breaking Bad" will be back -- but the end is also in sight.AMC announced on Sunday (Aug. 14) both that it's renewing and setting an end date for the Emmy-winning drama. It's picked up 16 episodes to close out the series. Production on all 16 episodes will start early next year, but the cable channel hasn't figured out a schedule to air them (a split of 8 episodes next year and 8 in the future, or maybe 10 and 6, seems likely). The renewal/endgame comes after AMC and Sony Pictures TV, which produces "Breaking Bad," comes after a couple weeks of strained negotiations over a renewal. AMC reportedly wanted to reduce the number of episodes for a fifth (and final) season from 13 to "six to eight," and Sony balked at cutting back that much. The 16-episode final order seems to stake out a middle ground."From the day we heard [series creator] Vince Gilligan's completely original... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/08/breaking-bad-renewed-but-also-ending-with-16-episode-run.html

Jesse Continues to Spiral Downward on 'Breaking Bad' (VIDEO)

Could this be the beginning of the end for Jesse on 'Breaking Bad' (Sun., 10PM ET on AMC)? He's living in squalor, surrounded by addicts and homeless hangers-on, and he seems to have lost his grip on reality. Unfortunately for him, his bad behavior caught the attention of the hard-as-nails Mike who sees him as a liability and who thinks he should be taken down. As a test, Mike confronted Jesse with a bloodied, trussed-up man lying on his basement floor, saying that the guy had stolen Jesse's money. Jesse didn't even blink. He just picked up the money and stumbled to the stairs. When Mike hinted that he was going to kill the guy, Jesse just shrugged. He then taunted Mike, saying "Is the point where I'm supposed to beg you not to do it? ... I'm supposed to promise, cross my heart, and straighten up?" http://www.aoltv.com/2011/08/08/jesse-continues-to-spiral-downward-on-breaking-bad-video/
