Michelle, a Las Vegas showgirl, impulsively marries a man and moves to his sleepy coastal town and takes an uneasy role at her new mother-in-law’s dance school.
In the first-season finale, Michelle auditions for a Broadway show, and the girls secretly follow her. Meanwhile, Fanny comes home; Scotty makes a return visit; and Sasha proposes that the girls take the next step in their romantic relationships.
When this show finds its step it really does the genre good. It is a very typical ABC family show but Sutton Foster's easy and sarcastic twist added to it. The characters are well rounded and develop perfectly throughout the short run, but it is definitely worth a watch despite the lacklustre "ending".
