Showtime Announces Spring Premiere Dates for ‘Californication,’ ‘Nurse Jackie’ and More

Showtime is gearing up for an eventful spring. The premium channel has announced the return dates for Californication  and  Nurse Jackie , as well as the series premiere date of  Penny Dreadful  and the docu-series  Years of Living Dangerously . Nurse Jackie  season six and  Californication ‘s seventh and final season kick things off on Sunday, April 13th beginning with  Nurse Jackie ‘s premiere at 9:00PM ET/PT. They will be immediately followed by  Years of Living Dangerously  at 10PM, a docu-series featuring journalist and celebrities traveling around the globe to explore the effects climate change are having on the Earth. Finally, Showtime’s gothic horror series  Penny Dreadful  will premiere Sunday, May 11th at 10PM. Showtime to End 'Californication' After Seventh Season

Showtime is ending Californication. The dark comedy starring David Duchovny as novelist Hank Moody will wrap up after the upcoming seventh season, the network announced Monday. The half-hour series will return for its final 12 episodes in April 2014.
