William Sadler Cast in CHASE

Looks like us Chase fans are finally going to meet Annie’s missing daddy. According to TVGuide.com, character actor William Sadler has been cast to play the role of William Frost, aka Annie’s father. Daddy Frost is set to appear in an upcoming two episode arc of NBC’s Chase , which will introduce viewers to the fugitive father of lead character, Annie Frost (played by Kelli Giddish). Searching for her long lost father is what originally started Annie’s lifelong "chase." Sadler has played recurring roles on Roswell , Wonderfalls and HBO’ s The Pacific and he’s also no stranger to playing dads. The actor was seen earlier this season in the premiere episode of CBS’s Hawaii Five-0 , where he played the father of Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin). His character unfortunately didn’t fare too well and it looks like Annie’s dad could also meet a similar fate if he doesn’t act fast. CHASE Will Only Get 18 Episodes

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like there are some changes coming to NBC’s CHASE in 2011. First off, NBC has ordered a shorter season of the new drama, opting for a total of 18 episodes this year. That amount is still considered a "full" season by some in the industry but it does still fall a bit short of the standard 22 episode season seen on most prime time shows. Chase has been struggling in the ratings since it arrived to its Monday night at 10pm spot. Not helping I’m sure is the fact that it has to compete both with ABC’s hit Castle and CBS’s new hit Hawaii Five-0. It’s never easy for any show to get a foothold into its first season, but I think Chase has suffered slightly by turning on some unneeded drama within the team too fast, as well as the "Annie is Superwoman syndrome" – whereby all criminals are caught by Annie, usually involving a death-defying maneuver on a speeding vehicle of some sort while the rest of the team is made to look inadequate by comparison. I guess it’s no surprise then to find out that the other change that might be coming in January is a switch to a new night and a new time – Wednesdays at 9pm. Hopefully the new night, plus the fact that the drama and Annie heroics have been toned down in the past few episodes, will mean a change for the better for Chase‘s ratings. Source Here

CHASE “Under the Radar” Review

They played with the boy/girl dynamic in this episode, which was a real kick. First, Jimmy and Luke go off to get a closer look at their fugitives by using their manly wiles in a bar. Then Daisy and Annie team up for a bit, trying their best to become girlfriends and get to know each other better. The best part of that was watching them trade facts about each other not so much like girlfriends, but more like cops doing an investigation. Now if their quarry had been a couple of former cheerleaders and beauty queens out robbing dress shops, Annie and Daisy would’ve been in real trouble. But because the lady fugitives aren’t your typical girls either, the lady Marshals are able to figure out their next moves a little easier. Though the team didn’t spend the whole time split up into boys and girls teams, I still enjoyed the bonding on both sides that happened while they were. Annie admitting to Daisy that the reason she kept the old boots around is because her dad gave them to her was great. Her admission that she doesn’t know where he is was very interesting. I wondered if he was in jail, but I guess not, though I do still wonder if maybe he should be. To Read More Click Here.
