Five Delightful Things about Monday's Awesome 'Chuck' Episode (VIDEO)

I had to share a few thoughts about Monday's 'Chuck versus the Push Mix,' a delightful and epic episode of the show. It played like a season finale -- and in fact, it could have been one had NBC not ordered additional season 4 episodes of 'Chuck.' So never fear, we'll get 11 more 'Chuck' episodes over the next few months, but will any of them be as wall-to-wall enjoyable as 'Push Mix'? Will any of them contain performances that top Jeffster's hilarious rendition of 'Push It'? I doubt it. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/02/01/chuck-push-mix/

'Chuck' Co-Creator Chris Fedak Promises Big Things in the Second Half, But Is the Charm Gone?

The forurth season of 'Chuck' has been a head-scratcher for many of its most ardent fans. Much of what made them fans of the show in the first place -- its humor, how everyday geek Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) tries to balance the spy world and his personal life, the presence of the Buy More crew -- is still there. But those aspects aren't as dominant as they once were; in some ways, 'Chuck' has shown more resemblance to more straightforward spy shows like 'Alias' this season than the funny, charming, comedy/spy hybrid that we saw in its first two seasons.  Read More... http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/01/31/chuck-co-creator-chris-fedak-promises-big-things-in-second-half/

Will Tonight Be the Best Episode of Chuck Ever?!?

If you read my recap of last week's episode of Chuck (you did read my recap, right?), you saw me mention that Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak told Alan Sepinwall and Dan Fienberg of HitFix.com that tonight's episode, "Chuck vs. the Push Mix," is maybe the best episode of the series' history.  Further, the last ten minutes of the episode are, according to Schwartz, the best ten minutes they have ever shot.  In the words of a great (wo)man named Frank, I shiver with antici........................................................................ ............................................................................................................................................................. ..................................................................................................................................................pation! I mean, these are big words coming from Chuck 's showrunners.  It's not often that creators will raise expectations so high for one particular episode, or one ten minute period for that matter, lest those expectations not be met and the audience be majorly disappointed.  Network promotion flacks do this all the time, and certainly, reality shows do it every week ("the most dramatic Rose Ceremony EVER !!"), but it is rather uncommon for showrunners and producers to make such bold proclamations. What do you make of this?  Personally, it has just made me all the more psyched for tonight's episode.  Remember, NBC's original order for this season was thirteen, and tonight's episode is the thirteenth, meaning in the originally planned arc for this season, this episode was to be the season, if not series , finale.  As such, I expect to see the conclusion of a number of stories that have palyed out so far this season.  (What comes next is purely my speculation.  I haven't seen tonight's episode, nor have any spoilers.  Just in case you were worried.)
