First Photo of Josh Holloway on 'Community'

" Lost " alum   Josh Holloway   is going to stop by " Community " for one of its final episodes this season. His appearance is now teased in the form of a picture showing him being armed with what looks like paintball guns and their bullets.   Holloway will show up in the show's May 5 episode as a mysterious and threatening figure called Black Rider. He crosses paths with Annie on the Greendale campus, but there is no word on whether or not this will be an encounter of the romantic nature. 'Community': Behind the scenes on the study group's walk down memory lane

Once one knows the rules, one can break them. That's the case with NBC's "Community" and its creator Dan Harmon. He knows what makes a successful sitcom, but then he turns it on its head. Thursday's (April 21) episode, "Paradigms of Human Memory" is a great example of that. In the episode, the study group does its own take on the sitcom flashback show that typically shows the characters emotional look back at memorable scenes over the seasons. But the show has only been on for less than two seasons so far, so what's a young sitcom to do? Shoot around 78 new scenes that we've never seen before and have the characters look back on those "memories.""I think we'd all agree we worked as a cohesive group better than we've ever had," Yvette Nicole Brown, who plays Shirley, tells Zap2it. "We had such a limited amount of time and so much to shoot. So, it... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/community-behind-the-scenes-on-the-study-groups-walk-down-memory-lane.html

Jim Rash Previews Dean Pelton's Big 'Community' Costume-o-Rama

As Greendale Community College's Dean Pelton, Jim Rash has become 'Community''s most stylish punchline. I mean, just look at some of the man's best and boldest ensembles:  In this week's episode, titled 'Paradigms of Human Memory' (Thurs., April 21, 8PM ET on NBC), we'll get a ton of never-before-seen memories of the gang via flashbacks, including quite a few epic Dean Pelton costumes. Keep reading to see an exclusive picture of Dean Pelton, Southern Belle -- who was unanimously described by cast and crew as "an ugly woman" -- and to hear more about giving Mozart boobs, showing off his midriff, having "safe shots" for some of his sexier get-ups and the 'Community' wardrobe he's jealous of. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/04/21/jim-rash-community-interview-paradigms-of-human-memory/

'Community' Behind the Scenes: Meet the Show's Makeup, Prop & Costume Pros (VIDEO)

'Community' has done some pretty epic things in its two seasons on the air. I mean, just look at this cast: But none of it would be possible without the people behind the scenes: the makeup artists who lovingly applied Yvette Nicole Brown's beard for the 'Pulp Fiction' homage; the props person who meticulously crafted the claymation figures, like Gillian Jacobs' Britta Bot, for the Christmas episode; and the imaginative costumers who turn Jim Rash into Dean Pelton, the spectacle, week after week. Not only do these people have the vision to bring the scripts to life, they also have stories. Lots and lots of good stories. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/04/18/community-behind-the-scenes-crew-interviews-finale-sneak-peek/

'Cougar Town'-'Community' lovefest will continue this season

It's not often that you hear a TV show character tout a show on a different network. It's happened several times this season on ABC's "Cougar Town" and NBC's "Community," though, and at least one more expression of cross-network love is coming."Cougar Town" co-creator Bill Lawrence tells Zap2it that his show's season finale contains a "solid 'Community' shout-out," presumably coming from Travis (Dan Byrd), who has expressed his love for the series in the past."We've kind of been cross-promoting each other since the beginning of the year. They have Abed [Danny Pudi] liking 'Cougar Town,' and we have Travis loving 'Community,'" Lawrence says. "I don't know if anyone's done that sort of cross-promotion between two shows on different networks before." (Lawrence's previous series, "Scrubs," name-checked several of its contemporaries, from "House" to "Gilmore Girls," but it was more of a one-way love affair.)Lawrence is genuinely a fan of "Community" -- "I loved it," he says... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/cougar-town-community-lovefest-will-continue-this-season.html

Community 2.20 "Competitive Wine Tasting" Review

I’ll just go ahead and put this out there: "Competitive Wine Tasting" is probably my least favorite episode of Community ‘s second season and quite possibly my least favorite episode OF ALL TIME. Of course, it’s still better than a lot of television out there and if I were giving it a grade, it would still get a B-, but this ultimately fails because it has too many good ideas that it doesn’t really do anything with. In short, this episode is overstuffed, but undercooked. While I often enjoy it when the cast of characters is separated into their own fun stories, I much prefer the version of the series where the whole group gets together to do something, or at least swirls around the outside of one major event. "Wine Tasting" has just a bit of that, but only insomuch that it requires all the characters to be in a room for a few riffs and reaction shots.  Read More...   http://tvovermind.zap2it.com/nbc/community-220-competitive-wine-tasting/54912?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+tvovermind%2Ftvnews+%28TVOvermind+Television+News%29
