A really good way to learn about the space and the Earth by using simple explanations to understand complex concepts in a fun way.

Expertly and simply explaining the boundless and infinite universe, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey's take on Big History (our entire history since the big bang) and the future beyond it is taught well enough for the average family to understand. Entertaining and imaginative, you can definitely see Cosmos as a fun segue to learning about the universe!

I have a lot of the same reaction to this that I did to the original Cosmos. On the plus side - the science is a decent presentation of the current understanding of whichever field is being covered, and the special effects are beautiful. On the minus side - the special effects are a bit distracting, the cartoon sequences are badly done and annoying, and there is something very arrogant about the persona NDT uses - as though he were broadcasting "TRUTH" and fighting "IGNORANCE".

Science is the process, not the results, and our understanding will change from day to day. A little humility, now and then, would go a long way, even when we're pretty sure we've got it right this time...

Still, worth watching.
