The Cul-de-Sac Crew Spill Some Wine In The New ‘Cougar Town’ Season 4 Promo

Cougar Town ‘s messy new promo makes excellent use of the ’70s jam "Spill the Wine " from the band Eric Burden & War, a song that could easily be the wine-soaked Cul-de-Sac Crew’s anthem. The whole gang gets into the wine spilling (and tossing) action, leaving their white outfits stained red by the end. The promo is part of TBS’s campaign to celebrate the crew’s new cable channel  digs, now that the series is making the leap from ABC to TBS. 'Cougar Town' Season 4: TBS invites you to 'Spill the Wine'

It was perhaps inevitable that "Cougar Town" would end up using "Spill the Wine," the 1970 psychedelic groove by Eric Burdon and War, in one of its promos. In fact, it's not hard to wonder why it took this long.(Oh yeah. Because ABC didn't do a ton of promotion for the show.)TBS, however, is putting some marketing muscle behind its new acquisition, which begins its cable life on Jan. 8. The new teaser features the song, some appropriately trippy graphics, and the cast spilling wine all over their white clothes, with Courteney Cox getting the last and biggest splash. It also got us thinking about how Cox's two most famous characters would react. Monica Geller would likely be appalled at all the mess, while Jules Cobb would have to be wondering why the cul-de-sac crew was wasting so much perfectly good wine.Hit play at the top of the post, enjoy the new "Cougar Town" promo, and... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/11/cougar-town-season-4-tbs-invites-you-to-spill-the-wine.html

'Cougar Town': Shirley Jones joins the cul-de-sac crew for Season 4

The cul-de-sac crew may be getting a new member in Season 4 of "Cougar Town" -- whether they like it or not.Shirley Jones ("The Partridge Family") will guest-star on the series, which begins its first season on TBS (and fourth overall) on Jan. 8. She'll play a woman who buys Grayson's (Josh Hopkins) house across the street from Jules (Courteney Cox) -- provided that Jules spends some time with her.So on the one hand, Jules and Grayson will no longer be carrying two mortgages. On the other, an elderly lady giving Jules a whole bunch of advice, even if Jules doesn't want to hear it.Jones joins Alexandra Wentworth and Gillian Vigman on the guest-star list for "Cougar Town" this season. What do you think of the casting?... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/11/cougar-town-shirley-jones-joins-the-cul-de-sac-crew-for-season-4.html

Cougar Town: Gillian Vigman to Guest Star in Season 4

Bobby has a girlfriend, Bobby has a girlfriend, Bobby has a girlfriend... Well, he will for at least one episode next season. TVLine is reporting that Gillian Vigman has signed on to appear on Cougar Town  as a love interest for Bobby. She'll be playing a woman named Mary, who picks Bobby up in a department store and spends the day with him inside the store "vacationing". Bobby hasn't done a whole lot of dating around during the first three seasons of the former ABC comedy, his first (and only) semi-serious post-Jules connection coming with Angie, Trav's professor. Now that Jules and Grayson are officially husband and wife, it'll be a weird time for Bobby; he doesn't want to be with Jules, nor does he want to mess up her relationship, but seeing his ex happy reminds him that he's not happy. Not in his professional life and certainly not in his personal life, where we've gotten brief looks at the loneliness he's had to deal with recently. Mary might not be the one for Bobby to settle down with, but hopefully Bobby's time with her shows him that love is out there and one day, it'll find him, too. Vigman recurs on Suburgatory as Noah's wife Jill, currently on her book tour following the birth of her baby; the actress has also appeared on the likes of Californication, New Girl, Parks and Recreation, and United States of Tara. Other guest stars for the upcoming fourth season of Cougar Town , its first on TBS, include Alexandra Wentworth, while Bob Clendenin has been promoted to series regular status following three seasons as a recurring part of the ensemble. The fourth season of Cougar Town premieres Tuesday, January 8th at 10:00 on TBS. You can check out the announcement of the premiere date here . Will you be following Cougar Town in its move from ABC to TBS? What do you think will come between Mary and Bobby to make Vigman's appearance one episode? Can Bobby find somebody to be with and a relationship that will last? http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/oy3JQkvj53A/

'Cougar Town' announces its TBS premiere date with a song

"Cougar Town" will make its TBS debut on Jan. 8, 2013, but rather than just put out a press release to that effect, the cul-de-sac crew went a little further and recorded a song about it.It's called "We're Back," and it encapsulates a lot of the reasons why people who love the show really love the show. It's loose and goofy and sweet, with everyone but cast troubadour Josh Hopkins losing the words at times, but it doesn't really matter. You'll also see cameos from Ali Wentworth, who's guest-starring in the new season, former walk-on guest star Danny Pudi of "Community," Nia Vardalos (former guest star and wife of Ian Gomez) and "Scrubs" alumni Sarah Chalke and Neil Flynn, who appears in disguise. And, of course, Jules' (Courteney Cox) new go-to wine container, Big Lou.Watch the video, sing along and remember: "Cougar Town" is back Jan. 8. It's a Tuesday.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/cougar-town-announces-its-tbs-premiere-date-with-a-song.html

Ali Wentworth to Guest Star on Cougar Town

Ali Wentworth is heading back to the small screen. The actress - who is married to George Stephanopoulous and may always be remembered as Jerry's girlfriend on the classic Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld - will come on board Season 4 as a love interest for Bob Clendenin’s Tom. The actress has not appeared on television since Head Case in 2009. No word yet on how many episodes she'll stick around for, but Wentworth Tweeted the following photo of herself on set this week: Cougar Town , of course, is moving to TBS and will kick off new episodes in early 2013. http://www.tvfanatic.com/2012/08/ali-wentworth-to-guest-star-on-cougar-town/

'Cougar Town' Season 4 is officially under way

The "Cougar Town" cast and crew got together Wednesday (Aug. 8) to begin production on the show's fourth season -- and first on TBS. We know this because actress Busy Philipps and co-creator Kevin Biegel each shared photos of the cast's table read. That's one of Philipps' shots at the top of the post, showing her and co-stars Courteney Cox and Christa Miller holding the first script of the season. She and Biegel also posted photos of the table read on their respective Twitter feeds -- and some of Biegel's other tweets should put to rest the fears among "Cougar Town" fans that he and co-creator Bill Lawrence aren't the day-to-day showrunners anymore. Both attended the table read, and Biegel notes that Lawrence wrote the script for the Season 4 premiere. So while Ric Swartzlander is now the man in charge, it hardly seems as though Lawrence and Biegel have left the show entirely. Here are more shots... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/08/cougar-town-season-4-is-officially-under-way.html
