This show used to be awesome, but it's kind of gone down hill a little. Interested to see if they can bring it back.

So I see that they stopped putting Not Julia Roberts boss in sleeveless cocktail dresses at work but that they still put Not Julia Roberts in FMPS all the time. What a dopey show it only survives becasue it barely crosses the low threshold of summer show success.

Season 5 - Covert Affairs has Annie Walker as a seasoned operative who has just come back in the field from being MIA for several months. She has a lot of baggage, as well as secrets, from her last four months arriving back at Langley with her. She quickly has to jump back into the thick of things with the CIA being attacked at it's location in Chicago with a bombing killing 12 agents. Annie believes you can't have it all, a career and a personal life, so it's all business for this woman. She has to establish her relationships again with Auggie, Joan, Calder, and Peter. She encounters a new man in her life, Ryan McQuaid, who she is not quite sure what to make of him. Is he one of the Good Guys.....or one of the Bad Guys?? Annie is hiding a very big secret which she believes will end her career as a field operative. She has wrapped her entire life around her job and leaves no room for a personal life. So far this season, she has been hot on the trail of intel about the Chicago bombing which has taken her to many exotic locales, South America and Europe. We even had a flashback with Eyal which revealed her heart condition. She seems to always keep running into Ryan McQuaid while trying to avoid him. He has made it clear to her that he is interested in her on and off the field. Auggie is trying to handle Annie in the field, as well as several ladies revolving through his bedroom door. Joan and Peter are charting boundaries of the world of government operatives vs. private contractors. Calder has been doing a lot of undercover work himself with a Call girl while running the DPD. All of our operatives are juggling their personal and professional lives this season, even Ryan McQuaid has a number of secrets of his own. Can you have it all is the central question for all these players and will hopefully be answered by the end of the season. So far, the journey has been interesting and has kept this viewer looking forward to each week's episode which reveals another piece of solving this puzzle.
