TV ratings: 'Big Brother' and CBS top NFL preseason Sunday, 'Whodunnit?' finale rises

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013Sunday night brought something rare in the TV ratings world: An NFL broadcast finishing second in total viewers for the evening. It was just a preseason game, but still, FOX's telecast of the Colts-Giants contest finished second in viewers behind CBS' "60 Minutes" and "Big Brother"-led lineup.FOX did lead the night in adults 18-49, and once updates come in accounting for its live broadcast it could catch CBS in viewers. Elsewhere, the finale of "Whodunnit?" scored its best 18-49 rating of the summer and its second-biggest total audience.CBS delivered 6.25 million viewers and a 4.1 rating/7 share in households for the night. Pending updates, FOX stands at 5.8 million viewers and a 3.7/6. ABC (4 million, 2.5/4) came in third, and NBC (2.3 million, 1.5/3) trailed.FOX scored a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 to lead the demographic race. TV ratings: 'Big Brother' leads Sunday, Teen Choice Awards even with last year

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013FOX's broadcast of the Teen Choice Awards Sunday was on par with last year's show -- which is to say, not very big. It was the night's top show among teenagers, but people over 18 didn't pay much attention."Big Brother" scored the night's top 18-49 rating, tying its number in the demographic last week and rising some in viewers, pending updates (CBS' primetime lineup was delayed a few minutes for the end of the PGA Championship). "Unforgettable" also ticked up for CBS, as did "Whodunnit?" for ABC.CBS averaged 6.9 million viewers and a 4.4 rating/8 share in households for the night to score an easy win over second-place ABC (3.8 million, 2.4/4).
