TV Ratings: CBS reruns rule; ABC's 'True Beauty' not pretty Monday

Despite rolling out a new episode of "The Bachelorette" and the season premiere of "True Beauty," ABC couldn't beat CBS' slate of reruns in household ratings nor NBC's Stanley Cup finals coverage in the demo race. "The Bachelorette" slipped in its second week out, and the reality competition show "True Beauty," in which attractive contestants are tricked into revealing their lack of inner beauty had a weak debut, coming in last for its time period. CBS led the way, averaging a 7.7 million viewers and a 4.9 rating/8 share for the night, while ABC came in second with 6.9 million and a 4.5/8. NBC was next with 5.9 million, 3.3/6, then FOX with 3.1 million, 2.0/3 and then The CW with 609,000 viewers and a 0.5/1. NBC's 2.4 rating was good enough for the adult 18-49 demo win, just ahead of ABC's 2.3. CBS had a 2.1, FOX had a 0.9, and The CW once again trailed with a 0.2. To Read More Click Here .

Finale Ratings: 24, Law & Order End on Low Notes

24 and Law & Order aired their series finales on Monday night to middling ratings. The Fox spy series drew only 8.9 million viewers, a 13 percent drop from its Season 7 finale. After 20 seasons, Law & Order went off the air with only 7.6 million viewers, down 12 percent from last week's episode and 5 percent down from last year's season finale. Of the other finales that aired on Monday night, only The Big Bang Theory showed a gain, helping CBS to win the night overall. The geek comedy drew 14.8 million viewers, up 41 percent over its last season-ender. The other four CBS finales - How I Met Your Mother (8.2 million), Rules of Engagement (8.2 million), Two and a Half Men (15.4 million) and CSI: Miami (12.4 million) - were each down from their respective finales last season. Chuck's two-hour season finale on NBC brought in 5.1 million viewers, about the same as last week's episode and last season's finale. Over on ABC, Dancing with the Stars drew 19.1 million viewers, its lowest-rated Monday night this season. The Bachelorette also lagged, with only 9.2 million tuning in for the season premiere. TV ratings: 'Dancing' dips again; CBS and FOX share demo title

Fast National ratings for Monday, May 17, 2010 "Dancing With the Stars" fell a bit more in the ratings Monday, and while it was still the night's most-watched show, the rest of ABC's lineup wasn't strong enough to keep CBS and FOX from tying for the lead in adults 18-49. ABC scored Monday's best overall numbers, averaging 14.2 million viewers and a 9.1 rating/15 share in households. CBS (10.7 million, 6.6/11) came in second, beating out FOX (9.9 million, 5.9/9). NBC (5.8 million, 3.8/6) was up a bit from last week, while a night of finales on The CW drew 2 million viewers and a 1.3/2. To Read More Click Here .

Delko's Investigation Kicks Into Overdrive on CSI: Miami

Eric Delko's investigation of his friends at the crime lab on CSI: Miami is about to take a serious turn. In the closing moments of last week's episode, Rebecca Nevins (Christina Chang), Delko's boss and the former girlfriend of Horatio (David Caruso), was killed by a car explosion just before Delko could report the new leads he found while trying to track down who stole diamonds from the evidence locker. In Monday's episode (10/9c on CBS), the person responsible for the theft and the bombing will be revealed, and there will be dire consequences. To Read More Click Here .

TV ratings: 'Dancing,' 'Big Bang Theory' are Monday's stars

Fast National ratings for Monday, May 10, 2010 "Dancing with the Stars" saw its numbers slip a little more this week, but they were still plenty good enough to give ABC the overall ratings lead on Monday. "The Big Bang Theory," meanwhile, led CBS to a demographic win. ABC drew 16.5 million viewers and a 10.6 rating/17 share in primetime, easily beating CBS' 11 million and 6.8/11. FOX (8.9 million, 5.4/8) came in third. NBC held fairly steady with last week, earning 5.3 million viewers and a 3.4/6. The CW (1.9 million, 1.3/2) trailed. CBS led the adults 18-49 demo with a 3.8 rating. ABC was not far behind at 3.6, while FOX took third with a 3.1. Neither NBC, 1.6, nor The CW, 1.0, was much of a factor. To Read More Click here .

Ratings: Castle Explodes to New Series Highs

Castle beat time-slot rival CSI: Miami for the first time ever Monday, pulling in the ABC procedural dramedy's biggest audience so far. The episode - the first half of a two-parter that ended with Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) being blown up in her apartment - drew 12.9 million viewers and recorded its best-ever rating among adults 18-to-49. CBS' CSI: Miami attracted 10.9 million viewers and fell to an all-time low in the demo, according to Nielsen overnight estimates. Castle got a boost, of course, from following Dancing with the Stars' two-hour Season 10 premiere, which drew its largest opening-night audience ever -- 23.9 million viewers. ABC decisively won the night as three of CBS' comedies took a ratings blow as CSI: Miami did. With the exception of Rules of Engagement (8.5 million viewers), which was up 22 percent, the network's comedy block of How I Met Your Mother (8.5 million viewers), Two and a Half Men (14.4 million), and The Big Bang Theory (13.4 million) was down about 12 percent in the demo. Fox took third place for the night with a House repeat (5.1 million viewers) and 24 (8.5 million). NBC was hit pretty hard, as both Chuck (5.4 million viewers) and Trauma (4.3 million) tied series lows in the demo. Law & Order drew 5.9 million viewers at 10/9c. On the CW, Life Unexpected and Gossip Girl pulled in 2 million viewers and 1.9 million, respectively. On cable, Discovery announced that Sunday's broadcast of HD nature show Life drew 11.8 million viewers, trumping 2007's Planet Earth by 1.5 million viewers and marking the network's most-watched debut since 2000's Walking with Dinosaurs.
