MTV 'Death Valley' Sneak Peek: Lock Up Your Werewolves!

'Death Valley' (Mondays at 10:30pm ET on MTV) is kind of like 'True Blood' meets 'Reno 911,' with the LAPD's special Undead Task Force fighting all things monster-y -- including zombies, vampires and werewolves -- in Los Angeles. It's got all the blood and guts you want from a horror genre show, with the dark comedy coming out of the completely ridiculous situations they're called to regulate. We've got an exclusive sneak peek at next week's episode, which finds the UTF being called to a porn shoot in the Valley because one of the actors turns werewolf on the cast and crew. How much do you want to bet the men on the task force take that call? Also, as you see in this clip, Kirsten (Caity Lotz) is sent on her first werewolf lockdown where she finds a possible threat in a seemingly "normal" undead-human household. Take a look and tell us: Are you watching 'Death Valley'? http://www.aoltv.com/2011/09/16/mtv-death-valley-sneak/

'Death Valley' Is Scary and Funny, But It Could Be Great (VIDEO)

With the rampant success of the supernatural in entertainment, featuring the likes of vampires, werewolves, and more recently zombies, it was just a matter of time before a satire of the genre came to light. But rather than a movie by the Wayans family, we got MTV's 'Death Valley' (Mon., 10:30PM ET on MTV). Every bit as gory and tense as its more serious targets in popular culture, 'Death Valley' is surprisingly entertaining. Dare I say it's even started developing characters that we actually care about. But, more importantly, it's making us laugh. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/09/13/death-valley-scary-funny-could-be-great-video/

Death Valley Promo: Team Zombie Poster and Episode 2 Sneak Peek

MTV's Death Valley takes us inside the world of the Undead Task Force, a group of LAPD officers in charge of controlling and combating the recent influx of zombies, vampires, and werewolves that have invaded the San Fernando Valley. You'd think that this would be a gruesome, brutally violent bit of television, but Death Valley zigs when you expect it to zag, as the show's mockumentary style makes the show feel like the officers from Reno 911! were let loose in Bon Temps, Louisiana. The recently debuted poster gives an up close and personal look at Death Valley 's interpretation of the zombie, one of the three major species of supernatural beings currently giving headaches to Capt. Dashell (Bryan Callen) and company. The Death Valley zombie is less Romeo-circa-1968 and more new age, as vampire prostitute Sofia had a zombie pimp and the series opened with a chase between Stubeck (Charlie Sanders), Pierce (Bryce Johnson), and a female zombie. 'Death Valley' Mixes Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves and Laughs (VIDEO)

Like a bizarre mash-up of 'True Blood,' 'The Walking Dead' and 'Reno 911!,' MTV's latest foray into scripted television is a horror comedy that defies expectations. 'Death Valley' (Mon., 10:30PM ET on MTV) is perhaps best characterized as a frenetic 'Shaun of the Dead.' Like 'Shaun,' it treats its horror subject matter like the genuine threats they are, for the most part, but still manages to find humor throughout, even when it's broad humor like a rookie cop beating a zombie to death with a plant while trying to get the attention of her superior officers who are in the next room over. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/08/30/death-valley-zombies-vampires-werewolves-laughs-video/
