Desperate Housewives Goes Mad Again

Cheers to Desperate Housewives for revisiting the intersection of Wisteria Lane and Madison Avenue. Mark Moses, who terrorized Housewives as psycho killer Paul Young from 2004-2007, moved back in last night as the new tenant in Susan's house. His threatening presence, along with the promising additions of Vanessa Williams (as Lynette's longtime frenemy) and Brian Austin Green (as Bree's studly handyman), bodes well for the new season. During his Housewives hiatus, of course, Moses created the indelible character of Mad Men's Herman "Duck" Phillips, most recently seen unsuccessfully trying to woo Peggy over to his imaginary ad agency - not to mention defecate on Don Draper's office couch. But Moses isn't the only actor who's gone back and forth between these stylized shows: When AMC's Emmy-winning drama debuted in summer 2007, John Slattery was in the midst of his ABC arc as pol Victor Lang, a love interest for Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker). More recently, Sam Page has shuttled between roles as Bree's corporate conqueror and Joan's cuckolded doctor hubby, while Kevin Rahm has established double occupancy as Wisteria Lane's resident real-estate agent and Don's slimy Madison Avenue rival. Who do you think should cross over between Desperate Housewives and Mad Men next? Jon Hamm? January Jones? Or maybe Kathryn Joosten could play Don's new secretary? Source here

Vanessa Williams Heats Up Housewives

Oh yeah... this is gonna be good. For those of you who may have given up on Desperate Housewives over the past few seasons, it's time to come back home. Because last night marked a return to its previously fiesty form (as well as a return of several original characters aside from just Paul Young) with the arrival of the ever- awesome Vanessa Williams. Hells yeah we loved her on Ugly Betty, and here it seems that she's pured the best, bitchiest parts of her Wilhelmina Slater into the form-fitting role of Renee, Lynette's married-to-money former college roomie. And although Renee doesn't have the OTT fashion sense or Cruela de vivre villainy of Willie, she does have the same stiletto-sharp tongue and prickly chemistry with everyone who enters her orbit. Now let's just keep our fingers crossed that the writers keep it up and don't squander this inspired addition. With Renee revealing her crumbling marriage, this opens up some HUGE possibilities for her to start preying on the men of Wisteria Lane while playing with the heads of our in-need-of-an-enemy Housewives. Plus, let's face it, DH has gotten kind of bland and could seriously use the spice Williams brings to the table. Are you excited for Housewives again? Or is this just a desperate move? Source Here

Photos - Desperate Housewives 7.01 ''Remember Paul?''

I think that the addition of Vanessa Williams to the cast in the seventh season of Desperate Housewives is exactly what the show needs to get me interested again. Williams was my favorite character in Ugly Betty and I have a feeling she’ll be bringing her inner bitch to Wisteria Lane. Throw in some Brian Austin Green as the hunky newcomer to the show and I’m very happy. We have promo photos and a short synopsis for you below from ABC. Also, check out the new promo announcing the arrival of Williams. It may not show any new scenes, but these kinds of promos for Desperate Housewives always look very cool. The seventh season of Desperate Housewives will premiere on Sunday, September 26. To Read More Click Here .
