Dexter Season 8 Panel - Comic-Con 2013

Midway through its 8th season now, Showtime’s Dexter is the show that put Showtime on the radar. Not only has it been immensely popular as a premium TV show, but it was arguably the best show of all-time when it was at its best. Starting out in a tiny room when they came to Comic-Con years ago, Dexter made its last appearance in San Diego earlier tonight. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, David Zayas, Aimee Garcia, and Yvonne Strahovski. The surprises, though, were Lauren Velez (LaGuerta), Julie Benz (Rita), and Erik King (Doakes). Fittingly, Doakes was wearing a shirt donning his infamous catch-phrase (which I can’t repeat here). READ MORE...

'Dexter' Season 8: Emmy winner John Lithgow 'very sentimental' about series ending

John Lithgow is among those who will be sorry to see "Dexter" go.The veteran actor has a vested reason: For his portrayal of the so-called "Trinity Killer" in Season 4 of the Showtime drama, he earned several awards including an Emmy and a Golden Globe. As he now watches Michael C. Hall as the title murderer in the eighth and last round of the Sunday series, he admits to having pangs about the show' s imminent end."I went to a premiere party for the final season and saw all those guys for the first time in a couple of years," the pleasant Lithgow tells Zap2it, "and it was very sentimental. I really felt very much a part of that group, even though I was only there for one-eighth of the time [of the series' overall history].
