So addictive!
This is not a show I would usually watch but I saw the pilot one day and I hooked just like that!
The plot is simple and you just love to know how will evolve the arc between the characters from both sides.
And the actors are so brilliant.

Mr. Fellows is just a genius, his selected cast are delightfully believable Nobles, and his behind-camera staff crew are remarkably talented. Thank you all for bringing us Downton Abbey!

OMG! I could never put my finger on why I love the show this much but now the series is finished, I know what I will miss about the show. I will miss the respect they had for respecting one another, being careful with their boundaries. I’ll miss the relationship between individuals at each and any social level and the discretion they had. I will miss the growth that I could witness in social aspects as well as individuals or the growth of history all together. I will miss so much about the show but I think I will miss granny and her wisdom, humor and friendship with Ms. Crawley the most.

I am going to miss this series. I loved the show from the start - episode three of season one really solidifying my decision. I love period shows that teaches some history while also being highly entertaining. I am going to miss Mrs. Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham (played by Maggie Smith) the most. Her personality and witty remarks never failed.

One of my favorite quotes: "Stop whining and find something to do."

Where did this Reading Rainbow network come from, bringing us Masterpieces like Sherlock, and now Downton Abbey? Set in the unsettling early 1900s, since never has the aristocracy and their servants with their romance issues and financial problems been so interesting, mysterious, dramatic and funny.

Acquaint yourself with the fascinating members of the aristocratic Crawley family, the extensive staff that work for them, and witness how personal and historical events affect their lives and the era they live in. The writers of this series are so accomplished that every character is so well defined that it’s impossible to believe they exist only on film. If I had to single out the person that most amuses me, it would have to be Maggie Smith, who literally steals every scene she’s in with her demeanour and wit. The scripts, sets and costumes are all faultless, and the acting is superlative. With beautiful stories ranging from enduring love and friendship, to heartbreak and war, everything is tastefully written and filmed, then served on a silver platter. There are truly no words adequate enough to describe just how wonderful this show is, and what a joy it is to watch. Take a step back in time and immerse yourself in the glorious story telling that is Downton Abbey. You may never want to leave.
