Did Seth MacFarlane Steal the Idea for Ted? Family Guy Creator Gets Sued

Did Seth MacFarlane steal the idea for his hit movie Ted? Is everyone's favorite wise-cracking teddy bear a stolen idea? Get the scoop. Seth MacFarlane is being sued about a teddy bear. But not just any teddy bear, THE bear named Ted, which inspired a movie he "created" that grossed nearly 550 million dollars worldwide in 2012. Well, as Deadline reports, the originality of that film has now come into question. Bengal Mangle Productions has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of Los Angeles, claiming they first came up with that idea in 2008 in a screenplay called Acting School Academy that featured a "foul-mouthed womanizing teddy bear named Charlie." Their bear, Charlie, also lived in a world with humans, and the web series even became a big hit on YouTube and Funny or Die. So, who's telling the truth? Do you think this will affect the sequel set to be released next June? Sound off in the comments, and stick with us at Celebified for the latest buzz.
