"Franklin & Bash" brought the running Rob Lowe joke to a head when the actor himself showed up at Franklin and Bash's beach house party to return Singh's drone. He also ended up burying the hatchet with Stanton -- over a hilarious feud involving Jacqueline Bisset -- and telling F&B they can keep the kayak. In other news, despite her best attempt to sabotage Damien Karp, Rachel King was denied a spot on the Los Angeles Superior Court bench -- and so was Damien. They went with a one-armed Hispanic woman instead. And Bash and Charlie are kind of together, but also kind of left things up in the air. We would imagine if the show returns next summer for Season 4 that their relationship will be an on-going process. What did you think of the finale? We thought Rob Lowe was inspired. We hope if the show returns next year that he'll pop in again.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/08/franklin-bash-will-season-4-bring-rob-lowe-back.html

There are three kinds of pop-culture punch lines — by which I mean an actor, band, movie, or TV show that is regularly used as an all-purpose kicker to jokes. Type 1: The very successful person or piece of art that is deemed ridiculous by those who consider themselves to have "good taste." Examples: Two and a Half Men , Dane Cook, Paul Blart: Mall Cop , Nickelback, Twilight , reality television. Type 2: The huge, high-profile bomb, often synonymous with the Hollywood’s hubris: Gigli , Ishtar , Battlefield Earth . And then there is the third type, the rarest type of punch line. Something in this category is neither wildly popular nor a huge disaster. It’s not so good it’s bad or so bad it’s good. It’s something in which every element, when put together, is inherently funny, even before anyone sees it: the name, the genre, the cast — they all combine to make something so absurdly foolish that you know it will always work when you want to mock something. It is Franklin & Bash . Read More... http://www.vulture.com/2013/07/franklin-bash-the-perfect-punch-line.html
