Andre Royo returns to Fringe

Ausiello has just announced an exclusive scoop for an upcoming episode of Fringe . Our favorite taxi driver from Over There, Henry Arliss Higgins (played by The Wire alum Andre Royo) is coming back for one episode later in season 3.  The circumstances surrounding his return are still unknown, but I am pretty stoked that we will get to see the Other Side again. Maybe this will be our chance to find out if the rumors about Altlivia are true. I am still on the fence on this issue, but as long as we get to see her (she kicked some serious butt, even though she played Peter) and her seriously awesome partners, I am completely cool with whatever happens. I think. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/B1hgDgkmbJc/45431

A Fringe Hint in "The Firefly:" Is Olivia Pregnant?

It hasn't even been a full hour since I posted my review of Fringe 's 2011 premiere, "The Firefly." However, there's a news item that's probably going to be eating up the web over the weekend, and I just had to weigh in. All the controversy will boil down to, essentially, is the following exchange between Peter and September in "The Firefly." SEPTEMBER: It must be very difficult. PETER: What? SEPTEMBER: Being a father. September never got a chance to explain since it was at that moment he decided to zap Peter with his magical airwave gun, but that line certainly left audiences wondering about the credibility of a certain rumor that's cropped up in the lead-up to the episode. The Key Question: What is the Role of the Observers?

I’m finally returning from a month-long hiatus. Though I haven’t been posting on TV Over Mind, I’ve been up to my eyeballs in Fringe- related research and writing. For those of you who don’t know, I’m currently working on a book about our favorite sci-fi show and I just finished a good portion of it. But enough about me. It’s high time that we give the Observers the analytical attention they deserve. They are the key to the mystery of Fringe and, if you’ve seen any of the previews, September plays a central role in tonight’s episode. I have plenty of speculation as to what the references mean for the narrative twist (that is undoubtedly coming) but I won’t do any spoiling right now. Instead, I want to talk about the weird-guys-with-clairvoyant-powers archetype in science fiction and see what it reveals about the telepathic baldies of Fringe .   Consider it a lesson in "literary Fringe."  Read More... http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/tvovermind/tvnews/~3/JjkbRqgzjJA/45260

J.J. Abrams: Fringe Deserves to Live Beyond Season 3

Fringe's big move to the Friday dead zone has sent fans into a panic, but series executive producer J.J. Abrams says the sci-fi series will stay true to its story no matter where it lives. But it's not going to get more complicated either. Abrams says at the risk of cancellation, writers won't be diving further down the rabbit hole. "It absolutely would if we weren't moving to Fridays," he says. Which is not to say things will be dumbed down. At its core, Fringe is about "a woman who was experimented on when she was a kid ... about a man who might not have come from here ... about a father who is holding incredible secrets including those that mean war," Abrams says. "These are things we talked about at the very beginning. Read More... http://www.tvguide.com/News/Abrams-Fringe-Fox-1028151.aspx?rss=breakingnews
